I’m reposting this: I don’t hate him because he’s gay. I have a lot of gay friends — both ways!– I hate him because he does not sound good!!! There is nothing unique about him. Like Simon said, “indulgent rubbish.” And he said he heard that version somewhere but he did not credit the artist! He is so in love with his own voice, it’s pathetic. He thinks he’s all that but he does not and should not amount to anything in the music business if he cannot at least try to respect country music. I don’t like country but I would not go as far as making it into a joke like what Lambert did. I really hope he gets voted off. Yes, with all my black little heart. And I listen to a lot of different music and artist and I know what a real and unique musician sounds like. If he’d just stop worshipping his own voice then I would not throw things at my TV once he’s on. All he does is screech, sceam and shout and do his britney-ish movements which are disgusting.

That is NOT an attractive woman. I have seen some pretty, he/she it things too. He is weird, I still kind of like him, even though he is an self loved, ignorant, cocky person.

I do think he needs to chill out with his performances, but that’s just who he is, I guess.

I do think this will hurt him in the long run, like they have said a million times, “It is a singing competition” but they have kicked people off for stuff they did in their past.

Some people are going to like him, some people aren’t. Respect that!

The only reason that these photos were intoduced into this site was to defame him. The purpose of American Idol is to find great talent and not expose someones gender preference. While I don’t condone such behavior , this IS about singing . I love Elton John’s music but do not care about his preferences!
This kid is packed full of talent and regardless of whether he wins or not on this show someone will offer him a singing contract.
Quit passing judgement on him unless you are perfect yourself.

This “drag queen photo of Adam Lambert” doesn’t even look like Adam Lambert. All of the other pictures of him “making out with guys” don’t even show his face completely… who really knows it’s him for sure? and who really cares if it is…. *yawn*…. like the world hasn’t seen worse. He’s an awesome guy… he has a great voice, amazing looks and a wholesome personality. People need to cut him some slack and back off just because he’s something entirely new to American Idol.

LOL…I hit this link just to see what the fuss was about. I love how everyone gets high off these non-issues. Nobody goes crazy when a famous person says they’re a vegetarian. Some people eat meat, some won’t touch it (wait…that sounded wrong somehow…LOL). The guy is clearly extremely talented, and whoever is flashing his drag photos all over the place has their own issues.

I’m not going to judge him on the way he chooses to live his life, just like I don’t want someone banning burgers for environmental reasons.

People need to relax, avoid really stupid questions (I mean, unless you’re interested in a date with the guy), because the only one that matters at this point is: Is he talented enough to win? Period.

I’m 54 years old and find Adam to be great. His vocals are very good and he has wide vocal range, he’s theatrical (and what rock star isn’t?) and yes, according to the pictures, he can be flaming at times….who cares? You don’t think Mick Jagger kissed and made out with a guy? Looking through rock history, there are a lot of rockers that were “out there”.

I don’t believe in bigotry. I enjoy his voice, and he’s hot. After that it ends. I don’t think that he will ever appeal to the Disney channel. If your daughter likes him, so what. I don’t think that he will put out a record with filthy lyrics, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Personally, I think this whole issue is really paranoid, and off the deep end. All I can say is Adam deserves to be the next American Idol. Have you ever heard him sing really Josh Groban style. Type in Adam Lambert sings opera on You Tube, and you will get a gorgeous performance in Brigadoon in 2004. He can easily out sing Josh. He is the best singer I have ever heard, who can sing everything. AWESOME !!

I am not a religious person by any means but I do believe personal character and behavior should be a main priority in this life for everyone.

We are humans and not animals and putting ones dirt on the street is something that can never be undone. I agree, it is no ones’ business what others do behind closed doors with consenting adults, but when people allow pictures to be made of themselves in situations that should be kept private, they should not be surprised at the results that will surely come.

I am straight, love my wife and family but have no need to post pictures or even have them taken of our most intimate moments.

I really think this guy is one of the most talented young men I have seen but I admit I am very disappointed in the appearance of these photos and fear it only gets worse from here. The higher he climbs in the AI contest, more ‘hidden’ photos and videos will certainly surface and if the worse is being held back for later release they must truly be repulsive and obscene. I hope his family is prepared for the fallout that will accompany the revelation of their son’s ‘activities’. He doesn’t seem to have much respect for them judging from the photos.

There are few things in the life we have total control over and reputation and character are the two most important and valued in my opinion. It troubles me to see people have so little disregard in those areas. Both of those qualities are true treasures and should be guarded at all times.

Also, I will never understand why there are men who want to dress and act like a woman and want a relationship with yet another man who wants to pretend to be a woman. Isn’t that more like a warped pretend ‘male lesbianism’?

I think he’s extremely attractive (not in drag form!), but on Idol he’s smoking!! And his voice is really unique, I think he’s really talented. And for everyone that doesn’t like him, I bet you wish you could sing like him instead of not at all!

It’s funny how parents are being overbearing and protective of their children, to not have a role model like Adam Lambert… in case he’s gay. I don’t think he should be criticized, unless he’s asked straight to his face and says “yes, I’m gay.” Then go ahead and sabotage his image… because that’s what people will do anyway because they’re so afraid of something their not and set in their own old fashioned values. I have my own beliefs and I’m not gay but I respect people who choose this lifestyle. What harm are they doing? We have had people that were “role models” in our past and people we have now, that do more damage than a gay person ever would…. think about it, there’s stuff like that in the news every day. And what are parents going to do? Ban every gay kid in school from their own kids once they find out about their sexuality? There’s no way to get away from it… it’s just how the world is. It’s not that big of a deal. Every person has a soul and a heart… Sorry for sounding like a hippie but it’s true. I think it’s graceful just to be accepting of this.

The “thing” has a voice range that is out of this world and such a gift that few in music have. To me he is as unique as “Prince” and the gay factor should not hurt any sale of any CD as it has not affected Elton John’s nor George Michael’s. He is now and will be probably forever famous as a vocalist. But win American Idol I very seriously doubt. Because this forum is for the All American versatile vocalist appealing to the masses. “Behavorial lifestyle vs. Born this way” controversy has not been settled in the American heart and mind. Regardless of what ppl say when it comes to secret ballot vote Americans as a whole opt for “Behavorial Lifestyle” and that is why they continually lose the vote to get married. “Anti-gay is being sold by the media and Hollywood as bigotry and the majority of humans do not want thought as intolerant so they don’t openly make a negative statement about gays. However inwardly they see them as a whole as sexual deviates wholly consumed with arrogant self egos. Much like any sexual deviate wants to see their fetish depicted on screen and accepted as “normal”..Can they change? Not likely! Just as child predators cannot be rehabilitated neither can they control their urges and sexual desires. But as long as they do not prey on your mate, child or animal someone’s sexual orientation shouldn’t affect people. Do I want my child or teen idolizing someone that has given in to base inclinations that veered off to the left..nah!
So buy into the “born that way and can’t help it ..poor things” if you want .and try to change the minds of someone like me and you really are talking to the masses not just me as an individual. I don’t know why Im constantly surprised at the hateful comments and assumptions made about Adam and homosexuals in general. I guess I thought we were past that but apparently not. Very sad.
I live in a city that loves it’s drag queens.LOL. But I have to tell you. Just because someone dresses up like a woman for a particular role or performance does NOT make them a drag queen! (is Tony Curtis a drag queen for Some Like it Hot?) A drag queen is a female impersonator..someone who creates and developes an alter ego for the stage and performed as that alter ego. And he isn’t a “tranny” . A transexual is a man who presents himself as a woman in everday life. Maybe adam wears a little guyliner on a daily basis but good lord does NO one remember the 80’s??? Half the guys I dated wore eyeliner AND mascara and trust me, the weren’t gay, they weren’t drag queens and they weren’t “trannies”. They were musicians or guys who just liked a little drama and getting some attention. LOL
You people are really living under a rock if you think the more alternative crowd (and I’m not talking gay..I’m talking alternative, young, indie music and lifestyle) isn’t dressing just like this every day.
And to call him or someone lime him a “thing” or compair his lifestyle to a child predator is just sick and ignorant not to mention hateful and very unlike the values you pretend to uphold to your children. Adam is a kind, respectful, gracious, talented artist who is true to himself. I think those are wonderful qualities in a person and would be thrilled if more people looked to people likehim as a role model. Love is a GOOD thing people, no matter where you find it.

Chica63….amen sister! There ARE so many bands who wear guyliner. I listen to Rock of all kinds… Indie, Punk, Alternative, EMO to name a few genres. That doesn’t make them gay. I saw another comment about Prince. He’s an ICON… he was more in touch with his feminine side in his prime as a performer but he was never gay. Like Prince, Adam has major sex appeal. Whatever the case with American Idol and winning it or not, he’s going to make BIG bank after the show. Guys from Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, Hinder, Buckcherry, Blue October are just a few bands that wear guyliner. I’m 62 y.o. and I could care less who he kisses as long as he sings in my living room every Tuesday. I hope AI puts every video he did in a package deal that Adam Lovers can buy so we can SEE and HEAR him everyday. This is an Elvis, Tom Jones, Elton John, Prince, Axel Rose and etc type of talent that is unique and awesome. He’s not arrogant – he tries to put on the best show each week, with Pizzazz, vocals, staging and entertainment. I’d surely rather watch that then someone standing at the microphone singing badly. Wow. Amazing. My son adores Adam. He’s a “rock star”, which is exactly what my 6 yr. old would love to someday.
His Dad is a musician, and has worn plenty of makeup.
Have we all forgotten T-Rex, David Bowie, Mick Jagger? Sexual ambiguity and glam makeup is the calling card of most fantastic musicians. Did everyone here forget the 70’s? The 80’s? Geez, Robert Smith wore ten times the makeup!
