Phong Vu Unbreak My Heart Video 1-26-12
Fox aired the American IdolSeason 11 Auditions on 1-26-12 and this is where we meet 25 year old Phong Vu who was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He has made his way down to the Galveston Island Convention Center to sing for the Idol judges and give it a shot at being the next American Idol.
Phong Vu loves to sing female pop artist so his American Idol Season 11 Audition song is “Unbreak My Heart” by Toni Braxton.
As we see in the video, Phong Vu seems a little uncomfortable in front of the cameras. He wants to look perfect, which I don’t think most people look perfect in their audition tapes, but he is giving it his best.
Phong Vu says his spirit will come alive and make us shock and wow! He promises to Bring It!

The judges seem to know when someone has heart and passion, but just not the voice.

Skylar Laine Hell on Heels Video 1-26-12
During the airing of the American IdolSeason 11 Auditions we meet 17 year old Skylar Laine from Brandon, Mississippi where she sings “Hell on Wheels” by Pistol Annies. We find out from the American Idol Auditions video that Skylar Laine is not your average girly girl. No, she is a bit more “country” than most teenage girls you may see hanging out at the mall.
You knew Skylar was going to be a bit different when she says “Time to go change and get ready to shoot a deer”. We may all agree with her when she says “I don’t think the average American Girl has a deer in her room”.
Right you are Skylar, I don’t know any teenage girls with dead deer in their room.
Skylar Laines family has owned a small grocery – restaurant (Beatty Street Grocery) for 71 years. Skylar says that if singing gets her anywhere, she wants to help the family keep the store.

You can really tell that grandpa, Malcolm Massy is very proud of Skylar.
