Round 3 of American Idol winner goes to Phillip Phillips! Jimmy Iovine chose a Bob Seger song for Phil, ‘We’ve Got Tonight‘. This song is made for Phillip that’s for sure. Or maybe he is made for the song, either way he kills it. I’m not sure how many young people that are voting during Season 11 will know the song.
The audience loved the song and so did the judges. Randy even thinks that Phillip is “in it to win it”. Let’s hope randy finds a new phrase for next season.

Jessica Sanchez I’ll Be There Video 5-16-12
Jimmy Iovine is picking the final song of the night of American Idol top 3 on 5-16-12. Jimmy has chosen an old Jackson 5 number for Jessica Sanchez, ‘I’ll Be There‘. And there goes all our hope for Jessica to sing a modern pop song. Sure that would not be her strong suit, but it would be what is likely to sell albums.
Jessica gets a standing O from the audience and the judges seem to like it, but they didn’t jump up and down with thrill.
