There were several cringe-worthy performances on last night’s country version of American Idol, but Alexis Grace’s was not one of them. Her rendition of “Jolene” wasn’t great, but it should have been good enough to keep her in. However, after the judges’ deliberations, they decided not to use their veto power, and Alexis was sent packing!
This dispels the rumors that Alexis, Danny, Adam, and Lil are locks for the top four spots. But with all the buzz this week, I’m wondering, was this intentional? Did someone set this rumor in motion, just to hopefully have us shocked? I’m sorry to say that of those four, Alexis was my favorite, and I’m sad to see her go. This locks smarty-pants Michael Sarver and “The Blind Guy” Scott MacIntyre for the tour. I’m not sure what will happen in the weeks ahead, but they definitely didn’t let the right one go this week!
I can’t complain too much though; I voted for Anoop this week, and for now he’s here to stay!

I heard different. I heard that the 4 locked in are Danny, Adam, Lil’ and Allison, not Alexis according to a couple of sites. Not sure, but she wasn’t due to go home yet. She didn’t deserve it. She’s not my fave but she’s better than a few there. Thanks for sharing!

She didn’t deserve it especially before Motown week!! WTF? That was her time to shine!!!close to home..ridiculous. She has an amazing soulful bluesy voice..She just chose the wrong song. I think the blind guy is absolutely adorable but not a great singer. Also it was Micheal Sarver’s time to go home!!! hopefully a record exec will call her in the studio.

She shouldn’t have gone home. At least she’s trying something different for her, not as someone who plays safe in front of the piano. Scott is making me tired. Alexis is my fave girl of the five in Top 13. Some guys should go home. We’re losing girls too fast, even starting with 5!

I agree. Way too early to send Alexis home. She definitely had more to show us.
I thought it would be Sarver, given his poor performance and his having the dreaded first spot.
I thought Cockrey was pretty bad as well, although I’ve liked several of her performances. Looks like Vote For The Worst is really kicking in for her.

Alexis Grace should be brought back. That was a huge mistake. I bought her Dirty Diana and Loved a Man tunes on i-tunes and they are awesome. Bring her back!!!
