Yup! Nigel Lythgoe seems to think Idol will do just fine without Simon and with our new judges, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. Oh my god!
He recently told Us Mag that a variety of contestants will be on the American Idol show next season and that wouldn’t have happened if Simon was still a judge.
He told US:
“We’ve had some incredible country voices, in truth, Simon would have gotten rid of them straight-away because he wasn’t a country fan. This season we have a 16-year-old kid with an incredible voice and a jazz kid who does this fabulous scat-singing. Again, we wouldn’t have had him on the show because Simon would have said, ‘He’s not an American Idol! Get rid of him!’”
So, Nigel Lythgoe – you think Idol will be just fine without Simon Cowell? Are you freakin’ NUTS? Have you lost your mind? What makes you think that? He was your best judge. And though I heart Steven Tyler, he ain’t no Simon. Oh, and Jennifer Lopez? She’s a moron.
I’m not sure if I can even stand to watch the show with J-Lo on there.

Just wish JLo was not on the show, don’t know if I’ll watch for I really can’t stand her. There were so many others..Shania Twain, who would have been great!!

I would have liked to have seen Harry Connick, Jr. He at least was honest with constructive criticism.

The show will suffer with the loss of Simon. He made the show watchable! He was as much of the entertainment as the contestants. Now it will only be half as good!
