American Idol 2011 – Pia Toscano

Pia Toscano hails from Howard Beach, New York. She tried out for American Idol in Season 6, and a lot of fans are happy to see her back on the Idol stage. Her previous stint got her all the way to the Top 40 before she was eliminated, and now she’s made it to the Top 13 of Season 10.

Little Pia Toscano started singing and dancing almost as soon as she could walk. She started taking dance class at 2 1/2 years old and she started competing in talent shows at the young age of 4. She went on to do some theatrical stuff (a performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar” at a local church) and became the “exclusive singer” of the national anthem at her school. She sent out tapes and started singing the national anthem for the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Pia Toscano’s audition this year took place in New Jersey, but I can’t locate the footage of it. If you have a lead, let me know!

PIA SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN VOTED OFF LAST NIGHT I DIALED THE NUMBERS TO VOTE FOR PIA AND MY VOTES WENT TO OTHER CONTESTANTS. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE, AMERICAN IDOL WILL LOSE A LOT OF VIEWERS FOR THIS TRUST ME.

I had no problems voting for Pia last nite. They all have to go sometime, all but one. Pia is gone, she will be fine. Too much confidence in her fans, thinking they didnt need to vote was her downfall.

Pia, You truly in my opinion are the best on Idol this year. Not only will I see you on stage in the future singing probably a top billboard chart hit of your own, but your like an idol to me. You are a beautiful young woman who has one heck of a voice. YOU GO GIRL!

I have heard several times tonight that someone tried to vote for Pia but it showed that their votes went on another person. Something is wrong and that needs to be looked into!

This was a big scam!!! I feel like quit watching this. was it because there were 30 million 12 year old girls voted who were jealous of her beauty, or is it Idols producers getting the drama ratings I’m pia off!

Pia gone from ‘American Idol’. Now the show is not worth shit. She was the best one. Just another bullshit show. Another one off my list to watch.

travesty for sure–4 in our household that won’t watch or vote again–it was a farce with jenn hudson then adam lambert not winning, come on pia was like them a true powerhouse! How many more truley exceptional vocalist will be slapped in the face on this show–matters not cause this show will never play on ourtv again…

Last night’s elimination of Pia is a travesty. I have been a faithful viewer of this show for the last 4 seasons. Now due to this elimination I will no longer watch the show. The “American Idol producers” BETTER PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION to this one. What happened last night is history repeating itself for this type of show. The voting structure is painfully bad. Viewers SHOULD NOT be allowed to vote multiple times (I think the web site states a max of 50 votes) and the judges need to be allowed a major vote. The “judges save” is a good tool but should be used more, especially in cases like this elimination. Look at the reaction of the studio audience and the judges last night! What a horror that was! Additionally adding help from music producers this year was a great idea. It definely improved the performances this season. Perhaps they should also have brought in choreographers to help with the “body moves” for the contestants. Maybe this would have helped Pia?

Pia was clearly a “front runner” and should have at least have made it to the top 5.

Im very upset about Pia getting kicked off. She was by far the best week after week. Something wrong had to happen. Another site I looked at said that more than 50% thought Pia was the best. So how does the best get the boot. I agree, Something is wrong here. Im done with the show.
