American Idol 2011 – Brett Loewenstern

The New Orleans auditions brought us Florida native Brett Loewenstern. 17 years old, Brett Loewenstern has been the victim of school bullying, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his dream – to be a musician. Here is his audition video:

Although the judges joshed with Brett Loewenstern prior to his audition, they were truly impressed by his performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. Steven said “wow, wow, wow, wow.” Randy said he was fabulous. Jennifer said that despite the red hair he has soul. What do you have against Gingers, J-Lo? Bygones, because Brett Loewenstern made it to Hollywood.

Brett Loewenstern not only sings, he plays guitar and piano, and he also writes music. We know he made it through round 1 of Hollywood Week with his soulful rendition of The Beatles’ Let It Be.

Brett’s been gigging out and putting out music for some time. At least, he’s tried a little harder than some of the other front-runner American Idol Season 10 contestants. Check out these videos:
