Who got voted off American Idol – American Idol 2011 Season 10

Oh good lord. Our lovely American Idols took on the songs from the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. You know what that means? IT’S GOING TO BE AWESOME! Nah, I’m actually being serious. I really didn’t thing that any of them would be horrible. Seeing as how there are such a variety of songs in the HOF, and we have such a diverse group of contestants… it should be easy. Right? Let’s find out.

Here is my recap of the American Idol taking on Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

First of all. We got a Rocker History Lesson from the Hall Of Famer himself, Steven Tyler. Because we all know J-Lo ad Randy ain’t even close to being cool enough to be in there. Black Eyed Pea Will.i.Am was on board to help the gang with their song choices and even Gwen Stefani pitched in with wardrobe assistance. Man, these kids have it good. Kelly Clarkson and all those old Idols must be gnashing their teeth over how great these losers have it. Don’t you think?

Jacob Lusk | “Man In The Mirror”
Contrary to Rock And Roll, Jacob decided to go with some Michael Jackson. In the beginning, Jacob chose Marvin Gay’s “Let’s Get It On” but, choirboy had issues with the song’s blatant sexualness. So instead, he decided to do some pelvic-thrusting in Siedah Garrett’s direction while performing a nonsexual song. Way to go Jacob. Way to go you naughty boy. I seriously hope he makes it… into the bottom 3. I will admit, I’m hard on Jacob. But, it’s not my fault he makes me ears bleed. My ears don’t like it, kay?

Haley Reinhart | “Piece of My Heart”
Seeing as how she’s been compared to ol’ Janis Joplin quite a bit, she decided to go with one of her songs. Which seemed smart. It seems up her alley. Will.I.Am actually had some good advice for these contestants. And here I always thought he was a douche with a stick up his… ahem. Anyway. He told her to sing it to a guy that had seriously hurt her, and like she was MAD. Like he had a piece of her heart. And so she did. I liked it. But, I think she growled way too much. It was all a bit strange. I do think it showcased a lot of her vocal power. Which is something we haven’t heard much.

Casey Abrams | “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”
No. I live in the desert. Stop asking. He brought back his Bass, which I was excited about. That’s what made me like him in the first place. It wasn’t like, the greatest performance ever. But, it was still pretty good. The only that that was weird was the ending, his voice seemed t give out a bit.

Lauren Alaina | “Natural Woman”
She looked really pretty. That hair was a little much, but I absolutely adored her outfit. How cute was that? She mixed a little Country with some Soul, which Will.I.Am dubbed “countroul.” She did a really good job. I was afraid she was gonna get to twangy on us and make that song total weirdness. But, she didn’t. It was good. She’ll win!

James Durbin | “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
Now, here I thought he was going to bust out with something insane and be a wild man… and there he goes gettin’ all sentimental on everyone singing a song dedicated to his family. PSH! LAME! SCREW FAMILY! Aha. Nah, it was nice. But, I wasn’t a huge fan of it. I like it when he Adam Lambert’s everything up and sniffs a line of coke before performing. You know? Whatevs. Jimmy and Will.I.Am were against putting the audience to sleep on a night that’s supposed to be all about the energy of rock music, but James paid them no mind. Aha. Rebel.

Scotty McCreery | “That’s Alright, Mama”
Country cutie Scotty was having fun with Rock And Roll night… I’m SURE! However, he did take a risk with singing some Elvis. Which surprisingly enough, he actually sounds a bit like Elvis. Aside from his atrocious dance moves and unattractive “sexy looks” while singing about his Mama… it was alright. I think he might end up in the bottom 3, however.

Pia Toscano | “River Deep, Mountain High”
Oh sweet baby Jesus. She wasn’t doing a Ballad? Are you serious? Guuuurl, you finally got that stick removed from your arse. I’m so proud of you. However, your lack of movement on stage completely depressed me. Are you too pretty to move? Are you a cripple? Where’s your wheelchair? Was the hideous bloomer outfit you were sporting covering up some fake limbs we don’t know about? ENLIGHTEN ME MY DEAR! Whew… I need to calm down.

Stefano Langone | “When a Man Loves a Woman”
Oh, my little Guido Burrito. What the hell are you doing still on the show? Do you even know?

Paul McDonald | “Folsom Prison Blues”

…
You serious bro? You tried to pull off some Johnny Ca$h? Like what I did with the dollar sign? In these days of Ke$ha and Lady Gaga, that’s how he needs it! I love Paul. Seriously. He’s so cute. I want his teeth, in my face. Can someone get me those? Wait no, that sounds creepy! He’ll be in the bottom 3.

Additional Observations:
Jacob Lusk says if he goes home tomorrow night it’s because I can’t look at myself in the mirror?! Um… Later douche bag. Have a safe ride home on your high horse.

Will.I.Am has a way better personality than I thought he did. Jeeez. I thought that was pretty cool. He just seems like such a d-bag all of the time.

Note to Ryan Seacrest: Punching the air is known as “shadow boxing.” Which clearly you’re not aware of… it might ruin your hair.
