Pia Toscano performing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” video.

It was the Elton John theme this week. I’m sure Pia was just thrilled about that one. OH BOY I CAN DO ANOTHER BALLAD. Oh, Jesus.

Pia Toscano went with the song “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”. More lovely Ballads.

Cait’s Thoughts…
No. Go away. Get that stick out of your arse, and go away.

Judges Thoughts…
J-Lo: “The notes take us to another worldy place.”
Steven: “You’ve done it again. You sang it, you nailed it.”
Randy: “You’ve sung a ballad every time, but you slay them every time. Everyone knows you can sing.”

Here is the video of Pia Toscano performing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” on American Idol.

What are your thoughts on Pia Toscano tonight? Did you vote for her? Or will she get voted off idol? Comment below!

I have listened to Pia Toscano’s video over and over several times and for me she is without a doubt the best girl singer. Her voice is so perfect and has been since the auditions. Of course she is competing against 2 great male singers, Casey and James. They’re all winners and it’s a tie!!

Pia is a terrific singer. I wish she can sing Aretha Franklin’s, “RESPECT”. This will prove how good a singer she is.

Pia has a great voice and can definitely sing a ballad (what with the fact that that’s ALL she sings)… but she’s boring with a capital B and predictable with a capital P. She hits and sustains the same glory note in every song. In fact, I can’t honestly name the songs she has sung thus far (except for last night, which is still fresh in my mind) because they are all bleeding together. And then there is her stage presence, or lack thereof. While she did tone down the crazy pageant arm a bit last night, she still stood there like a stick. The amount of stage she uses is equal to the circumference of a basketball hoop. There’s no question that she has a good voice, but is she commercially viable? Would you pay to see Frozen Ballad Singer In A Basketball Hoop in concert? Do we need really another Celine Dion? Wasn’t one enough? Does her future lie in movie soundtracks? Does James Cameron have her number?

She’s got a good voice, she needs to sing something different, and she does make mistakes in her performances.. James I LOVE and I’d like to see him in the FINALS for sure.

ther is no doubt about it, pia is a great singer. to me the the talent should just be based on the singing. funny, but you didn’t see luciano pavorratti prancing around the stage when he performed with the the tenors and he was one of the most accomplished singers that i know. people need to stay focused on what we consider talent….it’s easy to criticize when you haven’t placed yourself on the the singer’s shoes
