Me being the nobody that I am… I couldn’t expect the contestants to actually listen to what I have to say. However, there might be one or two people who come to this post and would agree to some of my critiques. ‘Course, this is not meant in a mean way, this is just what I think of the contestants thus far or how I think they could change it up.
James Durbin
This is my favourite boy, by far. He reminds me a lot of Adam Lambert, as does he everyone else. People are comparing them a lot. Not that he can help the fact that he comes off as the ugly step brother to Adam. Some people on other blogs are saying that he needs to bring something to the table that isn’t comparable to Adam Lambert. But, how can he? Adam basically did it all, for the most part. And unless James Durbin comes out in an Egg, singing country or something, there’s not much he can do. I think he should run with it. A lot of people who liked Adam, like him, and a lot of people don’t like him, because he’s too much like Adam. So what?! Some people like him, some don’t… it’s the same for every contestant.
Pia Toscano
Ooooh, Pia. Such a pretty girl, with loads of talent. Ah, but yes, this is only what I’ve heard, not seen. Why? Because as soon as she starts singing, I fall asleep. I can’t handle those ballads, and her lack of ambition. If she had a bit of Jacob’s pizazz, she might be bearable. SO, that’s just it, she need’s to sing something with happiness and maybe even move around the stage a little. I don’t even care if it’s karaoke and stupid, I would appreciate the fact she put effort into it. NO MORE BALLADS.
Paul McDonald
Aside from his pearly white grill, who either loves him, or hates him? I really don’t think there’s a happy medium. I adore him. But, not for his talent, just rather his personality. I want him to do the opposite of what Pia should do this week, and go with something really calm. I just think it would be cool for him, instead of the typical thrashing around the stage like a freakin’ mutant Pinocchio toy.
Scotty McCreery
I think if he just sticks to his good ol’ country-ness he’ll be fine for a few weeks. I don’t think the majority of the people voting probably like his voice (but know he’s good either way), but he’ll get a record deal with or without Idol. I just think he should stay in the competition for a little while, just for more recognition, then he should get kicked out like Chris Daughtry and BAM, he’s set. Nonetheless, we know what to expect from him this week… O_o
Karen Rodriguez
Ahh, Karen. Ug. Gross. There is so much about this girl I just can’t stand. But, she’s talented I guess. I think she’s sort of lost as to who she wants to be as a singer/artist. I will bet any of you a million dollars that she gets voted off this upcoming results night. No matter how well she does. Does anyone like her? I think it would be smart for her to do an upbeat performance, with no Spanish singing, and no idolizing a Latino person. Why do I say that? Because yes, she is going for the Latino vote… but, lets face it, that won’t get her very far, based on how many are voting. You know?
Jacob Lusk
I have nothing bad to say about him. I don’t think he’ll last long. He’s too much for the show. And, to be honest, he makes a lot of ears bleed. Or so I’ve heard.
Haley Reinhart
I like her. I really do. And I don’t care what the judges thought… the yodeling thing was awesome. J-Lo can’t do that. PSH.
Lauren Aliana
This is my favourite girl. She seems to be the one with the best personality (from what we see through the TV) and she obviously is REALLY freakin’ good. People seem to think she needs to do something calm and mellow… but I like her doing what she does now. It fits her and her personality. So, why would you want to change that? YOU WOULDN’T. She’s 16, not 60.
Casey Abrams
Casey Abrams in the bomb. Do I think he’ll win? No. But, he’s still good. He just needs to be healthy, and he’ll be good to go. He’s cool. I hope he brings out an instrument this week.
Thia Megia
This girl needs to wake up. She is off in her own world 90% of the time, and it drives me insane. She’s got a good voice, but my god. She makes me want to fall asleep. What she needs to do this year is get an upbeat song, and surprise us all with something fabulous. Otherwise, she’s gone. That is all.
Naima Adedapo
I think the only reason she lasted last week, was because she got the pimp spot. But, overall, she seems like a really down-to-earth lady. And I think she’s cool. Will she win? No. But, I think she’s opened up a few more doors for all the hairy-armpitted girls out there who are proud of who they are. She seems like she would be the motherly figure in the Idol house too, which is a good reason to keep her around. Lolz.
So, what are your thoughts? Who’s your favourite this year? And if you could change one thing about one of these contestants, what would it be?
Leave your comments in the comment section below. You know you want too. Because I really need someone else opinions on these contestants. A lot of people think a lot of different crap. So, so tell me your crap.

If I get famous you can be my advisor Cait. I think Casey Abrams has a real good chance. I loved that big base a while back.
As you know, I’m a big Paul McDonald fan but I don’t think he can win. You’re right though, his personality has carried him a long way.
Is James Durbin the cry baby? I think he has a good chance of winning too but I hope he doesn’t. No good reason really, I’m just mean like that.
I missed the woman’s show last week, my stupid job worked me too long so I’ll have to catch up tomorrow.
Nice post
