If you ever read this site during our live blogs, then you have probably heard about Jacob, or KatieStevens101. Jacob would comment on here every week, rooting for his American Idol favorite, Katie Stevens. That is, until she got voted off. Then, I think he was so crushed that he did not leave his house until he won tickets to the Idol finale.
Thankfully, he got to meet his dream girl, and here are some insights into what REALLY goes on during the American Idol live shows beyond what we get to see on TV:
Says Jacob:
During commercials, there is this guy named Cory, who entertains you. He was giving out iPod Touches and Phones. Then before the commercial would end you heard a voice say “5,4,3,2, APPLAUSE!!”
The stadium has a lot more detail that you don’t really notice on TV, but in person it is AMAZING!!!
Before the show started, I saw Bo Bice, Eliot Yamin, Alex Lambert, Lacey Brown, Jordan Sparks, and Casey James in person outside doing interviews.
“Pants on the Ground” was awesome.
When you watched it live, it sounded a LOT better (I don’t know why though) I thought actually Kris Allen did REALLY well. I was really shocked by his performance.
After the finale: So I went to dinner at the ESPNZone, and then an hour and a half after I see Casey James signing autographs, surrounded by 500 people.
Then I see everyone from the top 12, except for Lee Dewyze, Crystal Bowersox, and of course Katie. Then I’m searching and searching for Katie, but I don’t see her and my mom is like, let’s just go. Then as we are walking away, my life changed forever. I saw Katie Stevens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, she was walking by, and she was like “Im sorry, I cant sign I have to go! I love you all, though!” Then she walked by and saw my poster (that was all about her) and said “OMG! I love your poster!! Can I sign it!!!!!” and other people were like “How come you sign for him” and she was like “Because he is my biggest fan!” and then she signed it, smiled, said “Thank you for coming and being my fan!” Then she left and was smiling and waving goodbye to me!!!!! OMG I SWEAR!!!!!!!! IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!
I ALMOST FAINTED.

I was at the tour last Tuesday, and I had a poster for Katie that I was holding up. She smiled and waved, and I didn’t think much of it, but then her parents came up to me and offered to take my poster backstage and get it signed by Katie! I was soooooooooo excited! After the concert they have a meet and greet, and Katie never came out, so I was probably the only one there with her autograph. Her parents even took a picture with me! They are really nice people, and made that night one that I’ll never forget!
