Was it that time where another American Idol Contestant got their hopes and dreams SHATTERED by Ryan? Why yes, yes it was. As we all know this is actually the best part of the whole show. So, let’s move on.
Here is my Recap of American Idol Results 5-5-10.
First of all, HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO. Not that I celebrate it. But, I know some hill-billy neighbors use it as an excuse to party. So, that calls for a celebration.
I was really expecting a Cinco De-Mayo inspired theme for Idol. But, that didn’t happen. What a shame.
After Ryan got done rambling about how in love he is with Simon (or something along those lines)… We got to hear the contestants do a LOVELY melody of Frank Sinatra songs. Yeaaah buddy. Please feel free to recognize the sarcasm there.
Oh, oh, oh. My favorite part. The Ford Music Video! And yes, I do actually look forward to the Ford Shoot. Don’t judge me. The last Vampire Themed one was cool. This one, not so much. But, my Mum and I decided that Casey looks better as a Waiter than he does a performer.
We also got to see a clip of “Inside The Contestants”… well, since it’s not an Anatomy lesson, it was actually, “Inside The Contestants New Lives”. Basically they got asked how different Tuesdays and Wednesdays are for them, compared to what they used to be. And since they all had 9-5 jobs (‘sept Aaron), and boring lives… you can figure out how much it’s all changed.
Ryan teased us with some results, and sent Lee to the Safe Side of the stage… all by his poor little self. I’d hate to be stuck over by myself across a huge stage, but if you’re safe than I guess it’s not so bad.
Guess what happened after THAT? The one and only Lady Gaga preformed. Who was excited about that? I WAS! I’ve waited a friggin’ month for that performance, and as usual, he was dressed in drag, pretending to be a girl. Ah, I love him/her. Lady Gaga FTW!
They also showed clips of Harry Connick Jr. being the jokester that he is. Okay, him and I have got to hang out. He seems cool. But, what was really cool is, he participated a little more and performed with the Top 5 for some duets of his songs. Which is more than the other Mentors have done. He should have just taken over the whole show.
All good things must come to an end, and every ones dreams must get crushed. It was then RESULTS!
Crystal and Casey
Mike and Aaron
Those were the two groups. Ryan asked Lee if he wanted to pick which group would be safe, but of course he wouldn’t. Because no one ever has enough balls to do it… (I wouldn’t either).
The bottom 2 were Mike and Aaron. We were all really hoping that it would be Mike, but little Aaron got the boot. Nooooooooooooooooo! Big Mike = Gotta go brah.
What did you guys think? Comment!
Oh, and next weeks Theme, is Movie Week. Ahh, that should be fun.

I was so sad for Aaron. Anyone who makes it this far in Idol is immensely talented, will tour with Idol, and will get shots at a record contract. Still, only one can win and someone has to “go home”. Aaron, this isn’t about who is good and who isn’t good anymore. You have done yourself, America, and your family, friends and fans proud. Chin up.
Personally I think that of all the contestants, Aaron has a look about him and a vocal style that is best suited to present-era popular music. He’s a hottie.
The only problem today is that there aren’t as many good songwriters as there used to be, and many classic song types don’t get recorded as they are considered “corny”. So let’s take the best writing we’ve got that is current and pass it to Aaron, please! Aaron, we’ll be hearing you and seeing you there!

I am so glad that Aaron got voted off. I could not stand him. Everytime I looked at him I thought of my 10 year old brother. I swear that I saw him wear a hoodie on the show that my brother had. He seriously looks like his mother dresses him. Now come on, your not ten years old anymore.
I really don’t think that he will be very sucessful if he does get a record deal. He will probably turn out just like Elliot Yamin. Popular at first, and then no one cares.

I personally like Aaron and I am a 48 yr. old woman. I do not like Casey at all. He can’t carry a tune. As far as Crystal, she has got to go. She has the same voice week after week. Can’t she change it up a bit like Lee and Aaron. Mike is a great singer, but he is only suited for love ballads. Hopefully a great producer will see the talent that Aaron has and offer him a contract.

Crystal is awesome – her voice never falters – she never hits a bad note. You may not like her hair or teeth or personal style, but you cannot argue her flawless voice. Mike, on the other hand has been hanging by a thread (and should have been cut instead of being saved!!) for a long time. He needs to go next. Let it come down to Crystal and Lee – the two most genuinely talented on the whole show. Didn’t comment last week, but I was SO glad the screamer Shiobahn got sent home. Whew!

I’ve become a huge fan of Casey James after hearing him sing Shania Twain’s “Don’t”. The studio version is incredible. Have a listen:

I think Lee will win. He has such a great voice everyone can love, and he makes the songs he sings his own. Crystal is my personal favorite, but I don’t think she will win because she can’t sing all genres of music. She reminds me of one of my favs, Janis Joplin. For some reason, people aren’t into Janis as much as they used to be. Even on Season 7, Amanda Overmyer was one of my favs, and she was good. She was compared to Janis Joplin, and she didn’t make it very far into the top 12.
Than again, Casey could win because he is such a hottie. I think that’s why Season 8’s winner, Kris Allen, won over Adam Lambert… because h was the “hottie”. Adam rocked every song as his own, and he was great! Kris was good too, but he didn’t take as many risks as Adam nor did he personalize the songs as much.. but in the end he still won. .. I think America needs to remember that this is a SINGING competition.

Oh, whoa. Didn’t know ya’ll were commenting.
I agree with Shay Nie. I think Lee will win. But, I really hope he doesn’t. Because the winners (except Carrie Underwood) never really make it anywhere. Kris Allen hasn’t done as much as Adam Lambert, and he won.
But, than again it all depends on the person and how they deal with it.
As for the rest of you…
Thank you guys for stopping by.

Big Mike needs to go. His save wasn’t fair and he really can’t sing. Go home Mike. Please let someone with more talent win. Crystal you need to go back to where you came from too!!!!!

First, I LOVE reading your run-downs of the IDOL results shows. I am never home on Wednesday nights, and I can come home, read your blog/s, and feel like I was there for the whole thing. (For better or worse.)
Um, sorry, everyone, but Aaron needed to go. He sucks. Nice kid. But he can’t sing. But then again, depending on the week and the challenge, I could say that about them all.
Not on the MamaSox bandwagon, either.
Why is everyone anti-Mike? Did I miss something at the first of the season? (He can sing.)
Anyhoo, I’m out.

Thank yooooooou. That means allot. I agree, Aaron did need to go. He reminded me of a David Archuleta… and if he WERE to win, he would probably release a Christmas Album – and that’s all.
I’m on the MamaSox bandwagon, just because the talent this year gave me little to choose from. I also like Lee. Casey, and Mike are probably going home next.
I hope Casey gets the boot ASAP.
