AHHH MAH GAWD! It’s Idol time. Well, it’s actually past Idol time, but it’s Idol Recap time. Word up. What am I even talking about?
Ryan said there is only ONE MONTH ’till the American Idol Finale. Really? That long? This show has been on forever, lets just get it over with. We already know who is going to win. Tim Urban! HA! Oh wait, he’s not there! I’m going to start crying again. Onoes!
Shania Twain was the mentor as we all know. And I was sort of not excited about this week. I didn’t figure she would be to exciting. Country music is not my thing, but I knew that the contestants wouldn’t actually SOUND country, except Aaron maybe. I’m sure John Park is weeping at the thought he never got to be in the Top 6 with Shania. AWWWW. Loser! =D
Here is my Recap for the Top 6:
01) Lee DeWyze (The Paint Salesmen)
He sang, “You’re Still The One”.
Shania wanted him to have some kind of pianoness in the beginning of the song. Okay, so he sounded Off-Key. But, I think he always does and I’ve learned to just get used to it. This time though, it was not good. He was also boring and I couldn’t remember the performance if I didn’t write it all down before. The judges loved it, but he could sing Barbie Girl and they would love it. He’s still my current favorite since Timmmy’s gone.
02) Big Mike (The Papa)
He sang, “It Only Hurts When I Breathe”.
Shania seems to think he could sing the phone book and everyone would melt. No, my ears would melt from having to listen to it. I can’t honestly believe that Big Mike is singing something whiny, mooshy and high-pitched. That’s SO unlike him. Yes, that was sarcasm, no hatehz! The one thing I will say that was awesome with my TV when he was singing was… THE CLOSED CAPTIONING. YES! That way I knew what Mike even said. The judges liked it. Oh seriously people? GTHO! Though it did make Simon wet, or at least he thought the performance was. I shouldn’t have went there, I agree.
03) Casey James (The Construction Worker)
He sang, “Dont”.
Well FINE, I won’t. Shania wanted him to have more confidence. But, even she thinks he’s pretty. What is it with you cougar ladies? Geesh. Well, I still think he sounded like a lamb-goat-man. He was actually this best performance, and even the judges thought so. I’m thinking he will be going home, but who knows.
Crystal Bowersox (The Momma)
She sang, “No One Needs to Know Right Now”.
Shania wanted her to sound happy. Ahaha! This song is weird to me. But, so are allot of things. Her performance was the most country of them all probably. It was good, but it was SO not her best. I really wanted her to do “That Don’t Impress Me Much” for some reason. I thought that would be uber fitting for her. The judges weren’t fans of it either by any means. I think she’ll still make it through though. But, it would be funny if she didn’t. Yes, I said funny. Because I’m evil and get great joy out of seeing people get voted off. Shoot me!
Aaron Kelly (The High-school Student)
He sang, “It’s In the Way You Love Me”.
Shania wanted him to hit a few notes really good, and didn’t want him to hold back as much. Wow, I’m actually going to be nice about this little man. He, by far did the best of the night. I actually liked it. But, the fact that he changed the song to fit his Mum, still freaks me out. At least he took the “the way we make love part” or… I’m going to far again. Make me stop! He did good though, and the judges loved it. I think he should stay another week.
Siobhan Magnus (The Glass Blower)
She sang, “Any Man of Mine”.
Shania said she wanted her to have attitude! O_O. My Mum seemed to think Crystal should have done this song. She didn’t have attitude at all, and it wasn’t good. The end was the best part, and even that was not-so-good. If she would have bottled up that attitude from a few weeks ago that she had with Simon, the song would have been brilliant. I said she sounded like she was giving birth, and not 5 seconds later, Simon said the same thing. I need to take over Simon’s spot when he leaves. We’re like the same person.
I have to say this was one of the most boring nights. Maybe none of them sucked that bad, but they were all quite boring.
What did you guys think? Comment!
I know some all of you guys will agree with me. It’s sarcasm, chill.

Gawd!
Next time be more professional and do a real recap! Jeez… How old are you by the way? Witless!

It’s my version of a recap.
Go somewhere else for a “real one”.
I’m 15, by the way.

No need honey! I’ve been to ‘real ones” already. Go back to school or better yet, stay in school. Talk about boring. Ha! Oh and by the way, you’re not even close to being “evil”. You just wish.

So boring. This year is not worth the space to record. I want Crystal to get kicked off she can go make a cd so I can buy it. It’s just a waste of time for a good artist to become an American Idol.

Awww, you love me. You came back to read my comment. How sweet!
I agree.

I think the older the Idol poster on here, the more “professional” and less LOL-speak we get. By that logic, Idol Man is VERY VERY professional.
Cait’s posts are good for the younger crowd and she is very funny! There is seriously something for everyone here!

Azriel you need a good bitch slap girl! No one said that this blog was academic? I’m 22 and I find this funny and clever.
Brth – I disagree. Look at Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson and Fantasia? I don’t think it really actually matters though to tell you the truth if they win or not, they all do well. Daughtry did well, as did Huston and they got biffed 4th and 5th. Kris’s album has done shit in NZ whilst Lambert’s doing great!

Earlier in my life I was a professional singer/musician with a number of different record labels. I tend to be very harsh in my critism but I feel I’m accurate. I do not think the Bowersox girl should win. The music business is really tough and we live in the 21 century. These judges are trying to pic someone who will be a STAR. Sure she has a great voice for R&B but thats it. Stow the dreadlocks. Everyone has to show their flexability and how much they are willing to sacrifice to be that star. I don’t think she deserves it just based on her voice. She needs the whole package and she isn’t willing to give the audience that wow factor. Just my opinion.
