Hello all you lovely people. After reading Jebbica’s Live Blog, I kind of had a jist (sp) as to who sucked and who didn’t. But, of course, we all have different opinions. So, who knows…

Usher was the mentor this week. I guess that’s better than Miley Cyrus, oh wait. IT’S NOT! So, basically, we get to watch two hours of him promoting his new album? Coincidence that he’s on Idol right when his music is coming out? Noooo! I have to admit, I’ve jammed out to some Usher on the radio. Don’t judge me!

Anyways, on with my 3-30-10 Recap.

Let me put on my epic shades even thought I’m sitting inside, JUST so I can be cool. Just like Usher! I will never understand why they do that…

01) Siobhan Magnus
She sang, “Through the Fire”. BUUUURN KITTIES.
Usher wanted her to not worry about her outfits much, because that can actually be a distraction. That was NOT good. I’m not a fan of hers, but she normally has a good voice. And I’m over the Siobhan Scream, gawd. She got reamed by the judges, and I kind of feel bad for her, she looked like she was going to cry. D=

02) Casey James
He sang, “Hold On I’m Coming” by Sammy Davis … I have a gross joke, but I’ll be quite. Usher liked him. To me, he sounds the same with every song he sings and he looks like he’s in pain when he plays guitar. The judges were okay with it, and Simon thought it was his best. Huh? Go home nao Casey.

03) Big Mile Lynche
He sang, “Ready For Love” by India Arie.
What is up with him and these stupid love songs? Big Mike and Usher, what a match made in heaven… Ewwwww. That was horrible. I love how the light reflects of his huge bald head. Epic win! Go home plz. The judges loved it… and I knew they would, because they’re all boring freaks, ahem.

04) Didi (Benamanini) Benami
She sang, “What Becomes of the Broken Hearted” Jimmy Ruffin. *Sniffles*
She cries allot, and we all know this. SUCK IT UP! What is she wearing? I think she’ll be going home. The judges were not fans of it. Like Ellen said, she was too dramatic. But, Usher was feelin’ it. O_o

Ryan should make everyone feel as uncomfortable as he did with her. Muahaha.

05) Tim Urban (Teflon Tim)
He sang, “Sweet Love” by Anita Baker.
SINGS TO ME TIMMY! Usher asked him if he’d ever been in love. YES, with ME! C’mon. His performance was creepy. Wow, um… don’t sing to me please. What Simon said was dead on.

06) Andrew Garcia
He sang, “Forever” by Chris Brown.
I actually loved it. Holy crap. It was awesome… finally Andrew lived up to himself. Lolz. The judges loved it too. And Simon thought he was boring, so Ryan had Andrew’s Momma come up and tell him off. OH YEAH, that’s a gang Momma right there. Beware.

07) Katie Stevens

She sang, “Chains Of Fools” of Aretha Franklin.
Like Jebbica said, she looked angry. OMG! She looked kinda pretty though. But, she didn’t do that great with the song; it’s too big for her. On a side note, she’s met Usher before. The judges kinda liked it, kinda didn’t. Meh…

08) Lee DeWyze
He sang, “Treat Her Like a Lady” by Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose. Lolz.
Usher seemed to like him… and basically told him to stop being so hard on himself. I liked it, and thought it was the best thus far, BUT the jacket was ugly. Oh, and you’re lookin’ like a foo’ with yo’ pants on the ground. PULL THEM UP! The judges liked it. Booyah!

09) Crystal Bowersox
She sang, “Midnight Train To Gorgia” by Gladys Knight & The Pips.
I LOVE HER! Kara wanted her to change it up a bit, and she did. She played the piano, and wore a cute pair of heals. I wasn’t a fan of her dress though. The judges liked her allot, but Simon told her no to change it up to much. Which makes sense… I like her with the guitar and being boring.

10) Aaron Kelly
He sang, “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers.
I could see him singing something like that! He’s like a little turtle, chicken, mutant thing. He has to stop looking at the camera. The judges were not huge fans of it, but didn’t think he completely sucked. Um… yeah, he can go home.

I wasn’t a fan of tonight. As you can tell… The best were probably Lee and Crystal, and the rest gotta go.

What do you guys think? Leave comments.

The “Have you ever been in love before?” comment cracked me up. I was like, “of course not! You’re like, two years old! You’re not even eating solid foods yet!” :) Yeah, I’m old.

So, I have no idea who to pick to go home this week. Like Simon said, Tim will probably be fine again this week…he’s freaking resilient as heck! And if he DOES go home, America picked the wrong week, because he has had WAY worse weeks than this week.

Entertainment Weekly said this week that there isn’t a single contestant this year that seems worthy of any spot higher than second place, and I agree. I have no idea who should win this year. I think this will probably be the last year for Idol. Wonder if we’ll get jobs writing for X-Factor Mania!

As with all group dynamics, when a person leaves it can open the path of corrective competition. For two weeks, Simon and Kara have made pointed remarks about Mike’s sense of “confidence”, which is -unfortunately- is a tactic found in “The Willie Lynch Letter”. It’s also a double standard, as they’ve told other contestants about making the judges BELIEVE that they are in the showcase (because that’s exactly what AI is -a SHOWCASE) to win it. What is it: be confident enough in what you sing to bring the song to the audience OR downgrade the natural confidence to humble before three people who will do NOTHING to help your career? The only person who means ANYTHING is Simon -it’s his record company; he writes the check.

Back to what I was saying: as the group dwindles down to about eight, the “aw shucks! We’re one big happy family” will be replaced by the taste of competition.
