We’ve sat through four hours of American Idol this week to finally get to this moment, the moment where four of our hopefuls will find out their hopes and dreams have been squashed! Though, after last night’s fiasco, I wouldn’t have a problem if they sent about twenty people home tonight. It will get better, right?
The votes are in! Hooray! But first, 55 minutes of filler!
Oh fun…group performances! They’re singing “American Boy”. It’s kind of strange. After a commercial break, it’s time to get to the results. Or, at least a little teasing. First up is Siobhan.
Siobhan Magnus: Safe
Haeley Vaughn: Safe!!!!
Michelle Delamore: Safe
Katelyn Epperly: Safe
Katie Stevens and Janelle Wheeler: Katie is safe, and Janelle is voted off! Shocker! We were all wrong on our predictions already!
Allison Iraheta performs. The song is kind of stupid, and she kind of cries through it, but she sounds a lot better than the hopefuls from this year.
Back to eliminations:
Paige Miles: Safe
Lacey Brown: Safe!!! WTH!!!
Lilly Scott: Safe
Crystal Bowersox: Safe
Ashley Rodriguez and Didi Benami go up together. One is safe, one is going home. Didi is safe!
Going home: Ashley Rodriguez
Now it’s time for the boys. BUT FIRST: Tyler in his bathrobe!
Big Mike Lynch: Safe
John Park: Safe!!!
Aaron Kelly: Safe
Todrick Hall: Safe!
Now, it’s down to Tim Urban and Joe Munoz. One of them is safe, and it is….Tim Urban! The Other Tim Urban will have to suffer another week!
Going Home: Joe Munoz (ooh, I got one right!)
Time for a performance from last year’s winner, Kris Allen. He sang “Let it Be”. He’s no Beatle. But sadly, I kind of like Kris. What’s that song? “Live Like We’re Dying”? I never change the station when it comes on the radio, no matter how many cool points that loses me.

We can only hope that as the “survivors” log more performance time that they’ll get better. I think I remember last year’s hopefuls being better. I remember cringing less.

I cannot believe they kept Lacey Brown. That is just crazy! But, I’m pretty happy that the people who went home went home. I could have sent about 16 more of them home!

The only thing I am shocked about, is after thousands of auditions across the country, these singers are the best they could come up with.

I knew that Ashley was gonna go and I was for sure that Tyler was done after last night but as for the other two I wasn’t 100% sure. All I can do now is sit back and watch the rest of the season!! I am hoping for Michael Lynche or Katie Stevens. But like I said we will have to wait and watch!!
