I have noticed that there is really no American Idol news. And when I say there is no Idol news… I freakin’ MEAN it. So, I have decided to write a post on how excited I am that Idol is starting up again.

As we all know, Idol starts up January 12th, 2010. It kind of seems like it’s been forever since I last saw that show. But, definitely doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since I have heard about it. I’m not sure if it’s because I write on this blog and have to look up info about idol, or just because I hear of Adam Lambert and Carrie Underwood so much. I’m almost getting sick of it… pfft. Neva!

But, I’m still excited. Which you can think I’m lame all you want, but it’s the truth. And, once it starts up again, there will be more writters on this blog I promise the content will be so much more exciting. Lolz!

How happy are you that it’s starting up? Or are you one of those people who just cringes at the thought of Idol? Though, I doubt you do hate it, or you probably wouldn’t be here.

Comment your thoughts. I need something to comment back too. Ha!

Having Ellen on the show was a bad move. Sure she is funny and like all of us, she enjoys music. But that doesn’t give her any credibility to critique others musical talents. Idol used to be different than America’s Got Talent, but now that the judges don’t have to be able to really judge other than give us the laymen’s opinion, Idol may just become America’s Got Talent II. Idol didn’t need Ellen to be “the people’s voice”, we already have that in our ability to vote. If Idol wanted someone to fill a “role” that Ellen fills, I’m sure that there are musically accomplished homosexuals – just bring back Clay or Adam as a judge. Heck, Lindsey Lohan has had more success in music than Ellen. Unfortunately, this was a bad call Idol, and the show may only have 2 more years left. This year, where the ratings will go down, and then one more where they milk the Idol name for all they can before the final curtain falls.
