OMG, can you believe it? After a zillion weeks of excruciating auditions, sob stories, and the awesomeness that was Normund Gentle, it will all finally be over tonight! I just can’t wait. I’m holding out for a Tatiana/Normund duet, right before they declare Anoop as the winner. Wait, what week is this again? Regardless, I’m ready! So, let’s watch some Idol, shall we?
The Top 13 are back! They’re singing “So What?”, and man, have I ever missed Scott MacIntyre’s dancing! I missed seeing so many familiar faces, like Jorge and Alexis and (Caw! Caw!) Megan!
David Cook is back to perform his new single, “Permanent”. He looks kind of cute and sounds decent. David recently lost his brother to cancer, and all proceeds from his song are going to go towards the ABC Foundation, an organization researching a cure for cancer.
Oh, now it’s time for the “Razzies” of Idol…the best of the worst! Winner for the guys: NORMUND! Oh my gosh, I LOVE this guy. He performs again (Jebbica has hearts for eyes).
Lil Rounds does a duet with Queen Latifah, and she sounds great! Where was this during the season? The Queen is fabulous as always (and no, I wasn’t talking about Flambert). All hail The Queen.
After a break, and it’s Anoop! Also Alexis…and Jason Mraz. They do “I’m Yours”, and it might be the best I’ve ever heard that song.
Kris Allen performs with Keith Urban…such strange pairings tonight! They sound good…most of the performances have been pretty good tonight.
The girls are back, doing “Glamorous”. Megan looks cute, but it ain’t the right song, dawg. Fergie comes out, and they do “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. Then the Black Eyed Peas come out with that awful song, “Boom Boom Pow”. I do like those weird backup dancers, though…and Fergie’s Wolverine nails.
Next are more Razzies…people who can’t take no for an answer edition. And the winner is…Bikini Girl! In full costume, of course. She “sings”, and it’s horrible! Then Kara emerges to sing alongside…then promptly rips her clothes off! This show is awesome.
Allison is paired with Cyndi Lauper, and the show got even better.
Gokey is singing “Hello”, and this might be the best I’ve ever heard him! Where’s Lionel Richie? Oh there he is! They sound nice together, surprisingly.
Finally Lambert gets a turn. And what the heck is he wearing? Some kind of lighted wing thingies. And crazy high-rise shoes! And who’s he singing with? Why KISS, of course! The only people who could wear more makeup.
Results, results, results…nope…time for Carlos Santana. Matt’s singing “Black Magic Woman” with him, then more medleys. Then a Kradam Ford video, and they actually sound good together!
O. M. G. Steve Martin! LOVE. I bet Normund is jealous, because it’s Michael and Megan who get the honors this time. Sadly, they sound kind of horrible.
Okay, I’m kind of getting tired of these group numbers. They’re no Glee. Oh, there’s Rod Stewart. Who isn’t on this show?

Not to bash Adam, but he’s had a fabulous stage career since he was a young kid so his competition on this show had a HUGE hill to climb in order to beat him. I’m glad Kris won. But technically, all of them win!!

Adam deserved to win. Kris is a good singer, but so many people are like him. Adam is crazy unique and he can sing like no other! I am REALLLLY pissed that Adam didn’t win, but at least now he doesnt have to sing that stupid song! Kris does. hahaha. Adam will still sell more records anyway

Themarmas – why are you playing the homophobe card? That’s not fair & completely untrue. Adam is an incredible singer & will have a great career. If you think about it, maybe Adam’s supporters assumed all of the votes would go his way so they didn’t vote.

Fabulous show! Very disappointing ending. But doesn’t surprise me America. Another BORING IDOL WINNER. I am sitting here thinking the only reason most of the stars agreed to perform for the show was probably because of ADAM LAMBERT. Who else could have kept up with KISS and QUEEN. By the way, did you notice teary Brian May? Well, I am hoping that Adam’s loss will actually be his gain so that he isn’t caught up in an Idol contract and can proceed freely on to his career. ADAM is still the CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!

O.K I haven’t seen the show yet, but thanks to the internet, there’s no longer any room for surprises. I thought Kris should win because he deserves a break.
Adam will most definitely get a record deal cos he sticks out like a sore thumb…but in a good way. Producers can’t help but notice him.
Kris on the other hand could do with this kind of platform cos as adorable as he is, There are quite a few people like him, so tihs is a well needed booster for his career.

Wow, after all my doubts. He won! You cannot imagine the ridiculous fangirl squeel of joy it brought for me. And man I missed Megan, but that pink getup was so not her.

what a sad day for the AI franchise. they had in adam a super-star blockbuster singer/performer who carried the season for them — but the show, its format (in what universe is it ok for a CONTEST for be determined by allowing people to vote hundreds if not thousands of times?!), maybe even its fan base just did it in. this time maybe for good. i’ve read many posts stating that adam had the greater number of supporters — certainly more interest generated than by any other contestant, ever — and worldwide. what’s wrong with this picture? kris is fine, i’m sure he’ll have hits (so long as they are written within a very few octaves). but to deny that adam deserved the prize after his riveting performances week after week is just america at its most mundane.

The only reason we watched the show here in South Africa was because of Adam, then the finals, began at 02h00 in the morning local time, we stayed up to see what Adam is going to do, he did not dissapoint….then the vorting…..what a load of crap…..then Chris sang his last song….I’m thinking….what the F@#$%&K….who is going to buy this guy’s album…. not me……when is Adams album comming out….

The Idols Finale aired tonight in South Africa and I am soooooooooooo DUMBFOUNDED !!!
WTF* Happened? I want a recount on those almost 100 million votes ! What were the American voters thinking? I am just CONFUSED ! I dont think I’ll ever watch any other American Idol Show, no one will ever entertain as well as ADAM. But anyways, all is not lost…I know he will do better than…’what’s his name….
He is The Ultimate Idol and I know he will go FAR. I am waiting in anticipation for his album release !!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish everyone would chill out. Both contestants were awesome and desearved the win. And we know from past years, you don’t have to win to succeed. Look at Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Josh Gracin, etc. If you’re good, some record deal will pick you up. There’s no doubt in my mind that Adam will get picked up by someone and we will be hearing him on the radio. So don’t dog Kris for winning. He did a great job!

i never wanted him to win because i am one of those that can not take his voice. at all! and i like kris. if u guys youtube h9is music, u will see he is a great songwriter too!!!
