Tonight, we’ll finally know who’ll be going to the finals. Any ideas, anyone? DialIdol ranked things “too close to call” on their predictions, so I have no clue. Katy Perry and Jordin Sparks are performing, so hopefully that means we won’t have to deal with any dreaded lip-synching or Auto Tune! But then again, based on the past few weeks of guest live performances, maybe lip-synching ain’t so bad.
Yes! Let’s start the show with…an endorsement! Ben Stiller, Bill Hader, Hank Azaria, and Jonah Hill introduce the show, which just happen to have a movie coming out.
The Ford commercial is trying really hard to channel A-Ha’s “Take On Me” video. Cute enough, I guess. Following it, Alisha Keys comes out to talk about Africa. She introduces a Rowanda kid named Noah to come out and sing. OMG, this kid is just hurting my teeth with his cuteness. For “Keep a chlid Alive” txt ALIVE to 90999 to donate $5 dollars.
After a break, Danny Gokey is brought out to showcase his hometown experience. He is greeted by many the screaming girl in Milwalkee, but the best part about this video is seeing Jamar Rogers again! Still think that guy is more talented than the Gokemeister…hopefully he’ll be back next year!
Next is Kris, whose hometown is Conway, Arkansas. He’s greeted by tons of elementary-aged fans, and he has a heartfelt reunion with his dad. He also notes that he gets free cheese dip for life at his favorite restaurant. Score!
Before we get to precious Adam, Jordin Sparks is singing. She looks gorgeous and sounds pretty good!
K, now it’s Glambert’s turn. He went back to San Diego, a moderately larger city than Conway! My favorite question asked by a little kid: “Who does your hair?”
K, so how bout some results? If you want to be spoiled, keep reading after the jump!
Katy Perry is singing “Waking Up in Vegas” , and she has an “Adam Lambert” cape on. Nooooo, Katy! You’ll have to fight for songs! Simon gave her a standing ovation.
Finally, some results! The first person in the finale is–Kris! Whoo hoo! Next to sing with Kris in the finale is…Adam. Goodbye, Gokemeister! Well, I did put all my Office Pool points on Danny, but will I miss him? Hmm…dunno. You? Are you shocked? Do you think Kris has any chances in offing Adam in the finale?

Don’t agree with this at all!!!!! Kris should have went home tonight…. Danny should be the one in the finals. Oh well, America, you messed this one up again this year!!!

Simon had his money on Danny originally. He said it’d be Danny vs. Adam for the finale, and that Danny would win 55/45. I didn’t think that he could beat Adam by ten percent. Now we know he can’t.
Whether you’re an Adam fan like me or not, you have to recognize that he’s simply way more talented than Kris. I thought Danny was better than Kris too, but I guees America wants a showdown between Kris and Adam. I believe that Adam will win, if America votes on who is truly the best.

No other contestants seem to surpass Adam’s stage presence or singing chops. he was the obvious leader from the beginning. I bet on Adam!

Kris is my favorite but I seriously thought the final two would be Danny and Adam. I am actually quite happy Danny went home, his performances are quite boring. But I am not delusional enough to think Kris is going to beat Adam. It isn’t going to happen, but at least he made it this far.

Come on…….can you really see yourselves buying an album by Adam? Screech, screech, screech. Kris is good for his alternative type rock genre, but Danny is the most commercially viable singler. It probably didn’t help that Idol gave Adam all of the best performance spots as well as their blatant promotion of him. Why him?? He’s very Broadway. Won’t be watching the finale now that Danny is gone.

Kris is far more talented than Adam “The One Note Screamer” Lambert. Kris can sing, play the guitar and piano, and sets arrangements. Adam has been pushed along by Simon and crew, hardly a recipe for success.

Hi just want to add that Adam thinks he great. He’s a good singer but he is definately not an idol, well unless you want a drag queen idoling your kids! He thinks he’s gonna win, he may win but he should go back to Broadway. Go Kris! Should be Allison or Danny or even maybe Matt but go Kris.

Cat: You said comparing Kris vs. Adam would be like comparing a hamburger with filet mignon. That might be true, but if you had to eat one everyday, I’m pretty sure most people would choose the hamburger! Hence why we have so many McDonald’s, Wendy’s, etc. and not filet mignon shops at every corner. But my point is, Adam might have a few hits and be really hot for awhile, but he’ll get old quickly. People don’t want filet mignon shoved down their throats everyday. I think, because of this, Kris will have more staying power. Anyone else?

a million votes separated kris from adam. thats saying something.
i can understand why so many people r fascinated with adam, he is a performer. loud. he plays on marketability and uses what he has to work for him. i do not think he is anythign close to led z/ or as mentioned above acdc.
but kris has a very creative focus. his arrangements are super sensitive and he has an easy voice.
if im to place a bit, adam will win. but i wouldnt be one lining up to hear him play. i doubt most of the people that vote for him would either.
