American Idol Teenage Fan Recaps Disco Week

American Idol Season 8
As we all know, it was Disco Week on American Idol. Yes… DISCO! I totally see why the American Idol producers decided on this type of music, considering how many people just LOVE the groovy disco. Oh right, nobody does.
I found out what the contestants would be singing, so I whipped out the ol’ youtube to look up the songs. O_O I was not NEAR as impressed with the music as I was the clothes. Especially with Donna Summer, those skin tight outfits were epic.
My favorite performance of the night was Kris Allen with, “She Works Hard for the Money”. I thought it was really unique and he made it FAR more current. I hate to say it, but Kris is growing on me more and more every week. : ( Another horrible thing I am going to admit, I agreed with Paula when she said “It had a Santana feel to it”. Oh no, what is happening to me?
I did NOT like Danny Gokey when he sang “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. He and Anoop were the worst. They both look like fools that did not know what to do! Anoop was trying to hard to be all cool, and failed.
Allison Iraheta is a great singer, but last night was, Bleh! There was something weird about the music and her… on a positive note, her outfit was awesome!
ADAM LAMBERT – Ok, so I was waiting for this. I was reeeeeally excited for him to come out and do some weird disco stuff. It did not happen… sadly. He was boring, and sounded like he was going to cry during the performance. He looks nice in a suit though. As I said in my blog, with his hair like that – “It is like his head got stuck in the birth canal”. Really! I totally agree with Jebbica when she said, “It’s a little Cher to me”.
Wart boy, Matt Giraud was entertaining, but he had too much disco in with the performance. Encase you did not notice dude, its 2009… *Happy Face*.
I am thinking Anoop and Lil are goners. Than we will not have any more sistas in the comp. I ain’t no sista, but still. I even missed her performance because, I was stuck behind some stupid person at the store who would not shut up and get out of the way! W00t
Then the results… 4-23-09
First they showed Paula choreographing the contestants. They all looked like they were out of breath and ready to pass out. Lolz! Glad to know Paula IS actually good at something.
I really like it how they kicked off Lil Rounds. It was so unexpected they were going to do it that fast. They should do that with EVERY show.
What was up with those horrible disco people that came out? I mean… they were all 400 years old, and looked it. I was UBER excited to see Anoop sent to the bottom three, but then when Allison was sent there I was like, “NOOO!!!”. I have to start voting for her, because she has been in the bottom three, how many times now?! Probably because, no one ever talks about her. : (
THEN when Archie came out, I thought I was gonna puke. He is horrible, very boybandish. I do not see why he was a favorite last year. At least he gave Anoop and Allison good advice.
Then Anoop got told buh-bye. How sad, really! NOT! I was glad to see him and Lil go home. Anoop was a favorite, but there are much better people.
Next week, I am thinking it will be Matt and Marty (the wart) going home.
