We get an extra night of auditions tonight, but thankfully it’s the last night! I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of ready for Hollywood Week!  We might just get an appearance by Alexis Cohen…who’s excited?

We’re in two cities tonight: New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is the first time Idol has auditioned in Puerto Rico.

New York City is first, and first on the list is a cutie with an accent, Adeola Adegoke.  She sings Jennifer Hudson’s Dreamgirls song.  The poor girl quit her job the day before the audition, which is horrible, because Simon think she’s terrible. But Simon did something nice…he called Adeola’s boss and got her her job back! There may be a little spot in Heaven for him after all.

Now we’re in San Juan, and Jorge Nunez is first. Are we going to skip back and forth all night?  He sounds a lot like Marc Anthony when he sings a Latin version of “My Way” and charms the judges.  He’s Hollywood bound!

Jessika Baier is next, a voluptuous self-proclaimed habitual contest winner.  She has even gotten to open for Corbin Bleu!  She sings a Celine Dion song, which Simon hated.  Come on, it wasn’t that bad!  She got four nos.

Melinda Camille is the next singer on the list, a girl with no hair and a pretty smile. She professes to singing naked.  She sings “Feeling Good”. Kara called her a vitamin boost, and she gets her boost to Hollywood.

Jackie Tohn is no stranger to the music business, or so she says. She sings “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz.  Simon asks her to sing a different song, which is much better.  When Simon delves out his criticsm, the window behind them blows off.  After it gets fixed, Jackie gets four yeses to Hollywood.

Things aren’t going so well in Puerto Rico.  After screening tons of people, no one is getting a yes.

Joel Contreras, the Human iPod is next.  This guy isn’t’ Hollywood worthy, but he’s awesome! He gets  a no, but doesn’t seem too upset about it.

Nick Mitchell is next, aka Norman Gentle.  By his headband and everything, I’m guessing he’s going to be horrible.  Surprisingly, his singing voice isn’t that bad! After making a gay joke about Ryan and Simon, he gets through to Hollywood! Idol is full of surprises!

Ashley Hollister Kenny Hoffpauer, Kendall Beard get three quick yeses.

Monique Garcia Torres from Puerto Rico is 16 and brings in her cute little brother.  She sings “Can’t Hurry Love” and “I Turn to You”. Thanks to Simon and Paula, she gets through to Hollywood, though she needs work.

Alexis Cohen is next!  My e-bff. We have really bonded over the last year.  She looks prettier, and she seems to have a more gracious attitude.  She’s going to sing “Like a Prayer” by Madonna.  They decide she’s gotten worse, and she gives them the finger and calls Simon an a$$hole, just like she told me!

Patricia Lewis Roman is the last contestant to sing in Puerto Rico, and she sings “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.  Simon said it was the wrong song choice for her because she’s always going to come off as second best.  Paula gave her a no…is this a joke?  At any rate, she got a ticket to Hollywood, making her the last audition.  Whoo hoo I’m so glad they’re over!

Alexis, you should have stayed with Grace Slick.  If Amanda Overmeyer could make it through, there’s no reason you won’t eventually!

HOLLYWOOD WEEK IS NEXT WEEK AND THERE PROMISES TO BE DRAMA!!!!!!

I am so ready for the drama in Hollywood! I liked tonight’s show. Of course I didn’t agree with everything but I digged it, if you know what I mean. I didn’t think Jessika B. was bad. What is their problem? They let Bikini girl go through and Jesus Valenzuela go through. As you can see I am still holding grudges from the past. LOL :)
Anyhow I wasn’t too fond of Nick Mitchell. This is definitely something I don’t see him taking too serious and his voice is okay. Monique Garcia definitely needs lots of work and I don’t see her going too far in the competition. And yes Paula giving that Patricia girl a no is ridiculous. She sang delightfully better than Paula ever could and I thought she had a great voice. Sometimes I think they are all on their menstrual cycles at the same time. (Just kidding!) And yes if Amanda Overmeyer can get in, anyone should even Alexis. ;)
