Colton Dixon is from Murfreesboro, TN. He first auditioned for American Idol Season 10, getting into Hollywood and almost making the Top 24 before getting cut.
Dixon was not going to audition for American Idol Season 11–he was only there allegedly to support his sister, Schyler Dixon. However, after hearing Schyler sing, the judges wanted more of her brother, who then gave an impromptu audition in Savannah, GA and won a golden ticket with his sister. Colton Dixon is a rumored American Idol Season 11 Top 24 contestant.

During American Idol Season 10, Brett Loewenstern took the final Top 24 spot from both Colton Dixon and Jaycee Badaoux.
Colton Dixon considers himself to be a Christian rocker, according to his website. American Idol considers him a country singer.
