Allison Iraheta is the youngest contestant on Idol currently, so she is the only person to have a song from the 90s in tonight’s Songs from the Year you were Born episode. She sang Bonnie Rait’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and had one of the night’s best performances.
Said the judges: Paula: “I loved that you had some tenderness to this song that is so gut-wrenching.” Simon: “I thought this was very good, but we need to make you more likable.” Randy: “You remind me so much of Kelly Clarkson!” Kara: “Let’s go make a record, man!”

Allison Iraheta is WAY better than Kelly Clarkson (and don’t get me wrong, I think Kelly Clarkson is great).
