American Idol New Judge Kara DioGuardi
For season 8 of American Idol, the producers decided to add a 4th judge to the mix of Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, by bringing on Judge Kara DioGuardi.
Kara DioGuardi is described as “One of the industry’s most sought after songwriters and producers, DioGuardi’s songs have appeared on more than 100 million records. Her songs have been recorded by 
Grammy award-winning artists including Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Santana, and Pink. Scores of major recording artists including Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Pussycat Dolls, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Natasha Bedingfield, Jewel, Ashley Tisdale, Katharine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice, Clay Aiken, Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, Nick Lachey and Marc Anthony have also released DioGuardi’s songs.”
Season Eight of American Idol begins Tuesday January 13, 2008 at 8 pm and again on Wednesday January 14, 2008 in a two day 4 hour event.
The singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi should make for some interesting banter between herself and cock-sure Simon Cowell.

eh there wont be any interesting banter between simon and kara. word is that they havent connected at all. the interesting banter will be between paula and kara, and paula and simon. i hope it will be the girls vs the guys (and the girls will win that Easily)

I dont care about Simon. Im looking forward to some fun banter between Paula and Kara. I wanna see some Girl Power!

Personally I think we love to see the judges in action. We wouldn’t watch if there wasn’t any action. Word is that Paula may be leaving Idol. Hmm…Some say this is is her last season. It makes me wonder if Kara coming in was to slowly transition Paula out. It is gonna be interesting for sure to see how this is all gonna pull over. I keep telling myself only 2 more months to go!
