Will American Idol Give Us the Season May Sweeps Shocker?

Traditionally throughout most American Idol season we face a shocker during the May Nielson Sweeps weeks and one of the favorite contenders is voted off American Idol well before their time. In season past some of the best idols, ones even deserving of winning the American Idol Title have been voted off in the fourth or even third spots.

Chris Daughtry made an early exit in Season 5 of American Idol at the 4th spot. Melinda Dolittle who was favorited to win AI Season 6 made her exit in the 3rd spot.

Will history, or American Idol Powers that Be, the producers bring us a shocking result for the May 14, 2008 Top 2 Results and vote off a contestant other than Syesha Mercado? Or are we pumped and primed since well into the Final Top 8 days for the David A Versus David C Final Showdown?

I guess it all comes down to ratings, buzz and a David Vs David Final 2 showdown does appeal to a mass audience and has enough Buzz to make for great ratings for the May 20, 2008 performance show and May 21, 2008 Results night crowing of the Season 7 winner.

But don’t be surprised to see and Earth Shattering early removal, voting off of either David Cook or David Archuleta and see Syesha Mercado facing a David in the finals. Now wouldn’t that cause a mighty uproar, Buzz and water cooler conversations across the Nation. Even more so than the Hillary vs Obama democratic nomination race.

We both know which conversation you will be talking about with your friends, and it will start with the name David, rather than Barack or Hillary!!
