Paula Abdul American Idol Judging Goof 4-29-08
On the American Idol Top 5 performance night of April 29, 2008 the Idols sang two songs each. The Idols
picks songs from the Neil Diamond collection and each performed one round of their first song and then a round for their second song.
After the completion of the first round of songs, American Idol Host Ryan Seacrest asked the Judges, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell for their opinion of the first set of songs.
When it was Paula Abdul’s turn to comment, she was obviously looking at her notes from watching the rehearsal round, because she was commenting on Jason Castro’s 2nd song of the night as well. She then said she thought they sang two songs. Then attempted to say she was looking at notes about David Cook when commenting on Jason Castro.
Sorry Paula you goofed. You had no clue what you were doing.
Later in the evening she called Syesha Mercado with Brooke White’s name.

Paula really does nothing constructive for the show. She rambles on and rarely has any constructive comments for the singers. She should be replaced with someone who can actually articulate their thoughts.

Hey we watch for that reason. we can say we want her replaced but this is why they have the ratings man. She is a goof but she is entitled to a mistake or two every now and then. we all do it.
PS. Ryan announced anything said about leaving is all rumors.

i definitely don’t think paula should leave american idol b/c she is sooooooooo sweet………but does she have prepared notes???
