Tusla’s American Idol David Cook
David Cook, a singer/songwriter with an indie solo album, “Analog Heart,” will be shown in Tuesday’s “American Idol” episode featuring auditions from Omaha, Neb.
Rumor has it that Cook impressed the show’s judges enough to make the cut. Cook, a Missouri native, has been a fixture of Tulsa’s local music scene, playing in bands such as the Midwest Kings, until recently launching his career as a solo artist.
At least five other singers from Oklahoma were chosen to move onto the Hollywood rounds of the show out of the Dallas audition pool: Tulsa teen Alaina Whitaker, Muskogee musician Colton Swon, Oklahoma State University junior Kyle Ensley, Krista Branch of Bixby, and Michael Preston of Oklahoma City.

I just saw your first performance on American Idol and I have to say I’ve been an absolute fan ever since I saw your audition (and then saw you were from Tulsa. I was raised in Edmond). Anyway, I’m wishing you the absolute best! You have a sparkle and originality that is so exciting to see. It gives me goosebumps! Knock em dead and represent for all us Okie’s out there! You are just amazing

I’m from Blue Springs and now I live in Tulsa also. I thought that was weird. What is ironic is that you were my favorite audition before I even knew where you were from. Man, Blue Springs sure produces some awesome people.
