Sabrina Sloan or Sundance Head American Idol Season Six are paired to record a Duet CD. The two signed with Universal Motown to record a CD of duets together.
As you might recall, Sundance Head caught our attention early with his distinctive look and unique name. Then he landed in Hollywood and suddenly lost his spark. Vote for the Worst took credit for keeping Sundance in the competition at all. Meanwhile, I thought that Sabrina Sloan had one of the best voices of the competition this year. But for whatever reasons, she failed to build a strong fan base, and was sent home way too early (in my opinion).
The signing of Sabrina and Sundance proves once again that there really are no losers on American Idol, well, besides Corey Clark. The point is — you don’t have to be an American Idol winner or finalist in order to draw attention to yourself or jumpstart a recording career. Besides being a high-stakes reality competition, American Idol creates opportunities for all of its contestants by allowing them to perform each week in front of millions of viewers and potential fans.
Despite embarking on this recording partnership, Sloan insists that both she and Sundance are solo artists. ”It’s not going to be a long-term [partnership], like Peaches & Herb,” Sabrina said.
Sundance and Sabrina head into the studio this month, and are planning a late November release date for their CD.

Hi, hope all is well on your end. We just did some coverage on the American Idol audition here in Miami and ran a story about it on our website (some pretty kooky people there) and we’d love to be linked on your site. We operate TV stations and websites in resort towns (so far we’re in Miami Beach, Aspen, Telluride, Sun Valley, Hamptons, Nantucket, Aspen, Martha’s Vineyard and Vail) and our mission is to celebrate the people and places in our cities.
Check out the link below. We’d really like to be included on your site. If you’re interested, I can send you a couple “As Seen on Plum” logos that can be hyperlinked to the story. Check it out and let me know what you think!
