Phil Stacey American Idol Finalist helps raise money for Wichita
American Idol finalist and former Wichitan Phil Stacey is in Wichita Tuesday to raise money for the residents of Greensburg.
He’ll play a benefit concert at Central Christian Church, 29th and Rock Road. Stacey also hopes to tour Greensburg Tuesday.
Phil graduated from Wichita’s Northwest High School and was one of the top ten finalists on American Idol this season. Stacey says it’s taking time to get used to the fame, because he doesn’t feel any different. However, fans know everything about his life.
“They’ll ask how Kendra, my wife, is and they know the names of my kids. It’s strange, but it’s funny,” he laughs.
If you’re a Phil Stacey fan, though, you may be out of luck in seeing him. Tickets for the event are sold out.
