After some very bad performances on the Disco version of American Idol, each of the Final Four Idol are hoping they are the ones Staying Alive. Barry Gibb did an excellent job as a mentor and coach for the contestants, but the Bee Gees Disco songs didn’t play well for the Idols.
Looking at some of the potential votes, it appears that Flint Michigans Lakisha Jones once
a front runner in the Idol contest may be the vulnerable candidate that will be voted off American Idol.
With 3 Divas of Jordin Sparks, Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones and the lone single male beat boxer Blake Lewis, the voting blocks seem to be splitting their votes among the 3 females.
Look for Lakisha Jones last performance as she will more than likely be voted off tonight May 9, 2007.

Come on! Blake was terrible!!! For the second week in a row he murdered a song that I loved! “You Should Be Dancing” is a great song and he butchered it!! I was so glad to hear Randy say he was tired of the beat box crap. I think Lakisha did good on both songs that she sang. Let’s face it, last night was NOT a good night for any of the Idols. EVERYONE is in peril tonight, I think. We’ll just have to wait to see. I still think that the judges are trying to push people toward Jordin and Melinda. They want Jordin to win. I thought that we might be able to get through a night without one of the judges saying to Jordin, you’re only 17! but no, at the last minute good ol’ Simon managed to squeak that little tidbit out!

Blake was bad, but he has the fan vote. I am a Blake Lewis fan and hope he survives tonight. According to Dial Idol he has received the most votes, but we have to take that with a gain of salt as always.

I know Blake has a lot of fans. I am glad that as a Blake fan that you also agree that he was bad last night. Like I said it was not really good for anyone last night. I was really surprised that all of them had issues last night, I thought at least two of them would come out and wow us last night and I was pretty much looking at the clock waiting for it to be over. I’ve been watching since Season 3 and I have got to say that this season ranks with Season 3 as one of the more boring seasons. Maybe part of the problem is who they are choosing as Mentors. I liked J-Lo, Martina McBride and the British Invasion but the rest I say I will forget quickly (I already have most of them!). I really liked the Bee Gees and Barry Gibb as a solo artist but last night did nothing for me.

I have to agree with Simon, which I rearly do..LOL it’s gonna be either LaKisha or Blake. Lakisha was prety good when she first came on Idol, but it seems that she has been having more bad weeks lately. Blake didn’t have a good week, he’s been better!

None of them were that great last night but I think that the Bee Gees songs would be very difficult to sing as a solo artist. Just the way that they were written, it seems as though they need that special Bee Gees harmony. I cringed through most of them. Also, it seemed to be easier for the women since the songs are in sort of a falsetto. Blake doesn’t have a great falsetto although I really like him and think that he’s a true original. I agree with the writer above that the judges want Jordin to win and are favoring her. I think that it will come down to Jordin or Melinda. But who knows????? It would be nice to see some more exciting/contemporary mentors next year.

PLEASE!!! BLAKE SUCKS ALL THE WAY!!! I am hoping the he will be voted off tonight! I really would like to see either Melinda or Jordin win. They both are really good!

I am a very big Blake fan,yes I agree he did not do his best but he wasn’t bad enough to get voted off. The BeatBoxing is awesome and something no other idol contestant has never done which is a big plus.He is graceful in his steps when dancing , looks at the camera when singing and also the girls/ladies dig him A LOT.He hasn’t had but a couple bad nights I feel it will be between Jordin and Blake. But who knows maybe Melinda and Jordin.I want Blake ,but they are all good and I know someone has to lose and someone has to win.In my eyes they are all winners. and no matter who goes I think they will all cut records.Thanks for reading Seattle Cyn =]

I LUV BLAKE! But he was (i have and hate to admit), bad last night so who knows what could happen. Blake is very popular and Lakisha isn’t as well known and so she might go this week. I do think though that the bottom 2 will be Melinda and Jordin because they are good singers and they can sing anything. Blake is probably going to leave American Idol next week. I hope he stays but im pretty sure he will leave next week. DARN IT!

Blake is not the best, but he sure was better than Lekisha last night. I’m glad if Lekisha gets voted off. No one wanted her to even be in the top 12.

I think Blake absolutely sucks and I can’t believe that he’s safe tonight, and that Lakisha is off. That is so outrageous! Even when Lakisha doesn’t do her best songs, she is still 100 times more talented than Blake. He’s such a joke - he should have been off the show a long time ago. And he was especially bad tonight. He has no presence whatsover - oh yeah, and he can’t sing or dance either. I will miss Lakisha, but I’m sure she will be a star. She is amazing.

If Lakisha is voted off I’m gone as well. Sure Melinda is always note perfect but the emotion is not there! She is like an automaton. At least with Lakisha there is always that elelment of surprise and she is a powerful, powerful singer. Simon has slammed her because he wants the automaton to win. Well, I’ve got news for him-I would buy an album by Lakisha any day. And Melinda-just too damn predictable, plus she still has that deer in a headlights look. She sings with no emotion because I don’t think she has much emotion. I guess American will be led like a flock of sheep and Simon will get his way. Big, big mistake!!!!

The only real reason LaKisha was voted off is because she is an overwieght woman and does not fit the image. America has a hard time accepting big women. She is very talented. Notice how good looking the finalist tend to be?
