Carrie Underwood’s songs still remain on top of the Billboard charts, with “I’ll Stand by You” debuting at No. 6 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 200 chart, and “Wasted,” a former No. 1 hit for three weeks, dropping slightly to No. 3 on the country singles chart.
“Some Hearts,” which has been out since November 2005, also remains on Billboard’s country album charts and has sold over 5.3 million copies – 43,000 of those last week.
Taking the win in the fourth season of “American Idol,” Underwood was nominated for four Grammy Awards in December 2006, winning three: Best New Artist, Best Female Country Vocal Performance, and Best Country Song.
Another “American Idol” contestant, Bucky Covington, sits comfortably with Underwood on the top ten charts. His album, “Bucky Covington,” debuted at No. 1 and is now at No. 7.
