American Idol Season 6, finally voted off the Most controversial contestant, Sanjaya
Malakar. It has been a long and bumby Idol season with people taking up sides on the Sanjaya Effect. Here are some of the fans reactions. You can add yours as well.
I watch the show all the way here in the UK every week and dang, it sure feels good that Sanjaya has finally been voted off!!!! No, offence but that dude just does not compare to any of the top 10’s in anyway….now the show’s worth watching again for me!!!

Hallelujah! It’s Wednesday vote results and Sangaya is GONE! Thank God!
Woooo Hoooo! Time to party! He was Idol’s biggest mistake ever.
No doubt, this year was a very bad cast of contestants, but I think he’s the worst of all time.
As for Haley, I’m glad to see her getting voted off last week, she acted way too slutty in her performances. She seemed to be trying to hard to win the male vote by going braless, bouncing her boobs, and showing off her legs too much. She had a halfway decent voice, nothing special. She sounded too much like Olivia Newton John. Her first few performances were pretty okay and conservative, but then she suddenly turned hormonal and lost her appeal.
No doubt, Doolittle will be the next Idol. She needs to shed that little shy embarassed look she gets whenever she’s complimented.
Thank God, Thank God, Thank God …… Sangaya is Good-bye-ah!!!

YOU people have NO LIFE……. to be sitting back CRITICIZING a 17 YEAR OLD KID! I like to see how many of you could stand up there and sing!!!!
And the reason for him staying on the show is not because Indian people are voting for him……. there’s just NOT that many Indians in America and plus Indian people don’t watch American Idol!!!!

Just a little thought about that last comment. I am not picking on a 17 year old kid. I think Sanjaya is a nice kid-BUT he is not right for this competition. He cannot hold up to Melinda, Lakisha, Jordan or Blake (who are, in my opinion, the front runners- I do think, Phil has come a long way and does well too). As for me, I would not enter any competition unless I could compete with a high level of efficiency. Sanjaya cannot either; therefore he does not belong there.

If the voting was rigged by Idol, they must be looking to be somewhat credible now, but America already knows it’s votes count. I’m sure the country would understand if Sanjaya won. It would truly make the show credible. I think this is a case where Popularity and personality on reality TV lost to CREDIBILITY. I put Sanjaya in high regard, not many people make it into the “one name” status, like Madonna, Brad, Angelina, Mariah, Britney, Paris, etc. Congratulations!!

Just a reaction on the comment about Haley above, She has an attractive build, long legs, compared to others in the competition, and she happens to like shorts. Big Deal, she was the best looking one there, I think it’s wrong to call a person slutty just because they are the most attractive in the room with everyone gawking at them. This is probably the way shes acted since a teenager, I think she showed off a little but very nice and shy about it though, very classy, show it while you got it, especially now.

I’m sad that Sanjaya was voted off. The only reason I watched it this was to look at his sisters chest! Without her cans and without Haleys tight butt whats the point of watching it now.

Sanjay deserved to be in the contest but not even close to the top 10!When I heard the results on Wednesday I screamed with joy!!Ewww his ponytail mohawk was alittle odd if you ask me.I wasn’t really laughing at the mohawk but more at him!!

Sanjaya was a breath of fresh air! He was so full of enthusiasm, personality and talent that I could hardly wait to see his performance each week. I hope to see him back next year!

I heart his hair. I agree, he was a breath of fresh air, as Carol put it. I like his voice now. It’s fine, as long as he doesn’t push it. I think his voice will develop a better tone as he gets older. After all, he is only 17. I hope he comes back next year, though he may be able to get a recording contract anyway.

American Idol dropped the ball by rigging the vote to kick off Sanjaya, and now they shall reap the wrath of Fanjayas everywhere !!! Sanjaya got a full half hour interview on Jay Leno and is a hot commodity in Hollywood. The dynasty has begun and Donnie Osmond passed the torch to him on Jay Leno’s show. We have not seen the last of Sanjaya and he will be the big success story this season !!! LONG LIVE SANJAYA !!!

I’m happy Sanjaya was voted off, not because he didnt have a good voice, but because he didn’t know how to use it. He is young, good looking, sweet and got many of the young girls and old lady votes for Idol. He didn’t know how to project and he was too reserved on AI and the whole point is to be different from everyone else in the competition, not to be the silent, safe singer.

I agree with most of what you’re saying… but I really do think the next Idol’s gonna be Jordin Sparks and not Melinda… The final is going to be between Jordin and Blake.. melinda’s gonna go 3rd or 4th while Lakisha will be 5th… I think the next one to go will be Chris or Phil.. with a priority for Chris.. just because of his JT-like annoying voice..

I’m going to miss Sanjaya, he was a big draw to the show. I’ll miss that tormented look Simon had on his face after Sanjaya performed. It was like watching the Gong show.
On another note, he is a sweet kid who I think would do well in modeling and promoting teen products.

sanjaya was also a good reason to be on american idol because simon hatted him and i hate simon. It would be the best thing ever to see simons face when sanjaya was named the next american idol. HAHAHAHAHA that would make millions. why is simon judging when he doesn’t even sing. I wanna here him sing. He wouldn’t even make it into the judging room! the security would throw him out right when they heard him rehearsing.

Most all of us KNOW we can’t sing and that is why we aren’t on American Idol. If you have disillusions of grandeur and think you CAN sing you reap the rewards!!

I read thru everyones comments about Sanjaya, and one of them made abosuletly no sense what so ever. Whoever said that he deserved to be in the competition even tho he doesnt have the greatest voice in the world is missing the point of the whole competition. Cute and cuddly dont cut it in this competition if you cant sing. Sanjaya was horrible and he was only there because of some shock jocks telling people on the radio to vote for the worst people. Finally America came to their senses and let the competition really begin. Sanjaya will have a good first week in sales, chart no singles in the billboard hot 100 and then fall off the map. That is my prediction, unless they doctor him up in the studio anyway.
