On an American Idol week in which the women once again outshined the boys 
performances, it’s time to say goodbye to one of the Top 12 American Idols.
On Tonight 3-14-07 episode, Diana Ross performed Live “I love you more today than Yesterday“.
The bottom 3 of least amount of Votes Received were: Brandon Rogers, Phil Stacey and Sanjaya Malakar
Without further ado,  Brandon Rogers was voted off American Idol, and now there are 11 Idols remaining.

what is Idol coming to? Who are the yahoos that are voting for Sanjaya? Brandon Rogers is much better than Sanjaya. No, his hair is not good enough to keep him “safe” from going home. If you voted for him, you are a disgrace to our nation. Him making the top twelve makes a mockery of anyone who’s ever been in the top twelve. omg.

Fucking Punjabi-techie dorks with autodialers. They’re taking over American Idol because we outsourced all our fucking jobs to them. That’s the only explanation there could be. Fucking Indian bastards with autodialers. Brandon wasn’t my favourite, and I hate Phil too…but yeah, nobody can compete with an autodialer. There’s how many billion people in India?

Actually, I work for a major corporation that outsources jobs, specifically to India. Most tech centers in India are setup in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderbad, all which are hundreds of miles away from Punjab. Punjab is primarily an agricultural state and has not yet experienced the full economic boom of outsourcing.
Further, it would make no sense for Pujabi voters to have such strong feelings for Sanjaya as he is South Indian, while Punjab is situated northwest under Pakistan. Both regions are extremely different in culture and values.
In addition, it would go against every company policy Outsourcing companies have, including ours to use telephones from work for personal reasons, such as voting on American Idol.
Last, American Idol is on television at 9 pm (EST) which would make it about 7AM in Bangalore. Assuming viewers in India see the show exactly when we do, it is very unlikely that they have the time to vote via phone or text message so early in the morning, or during working hours.

Ok Brenda, are you SLIGHTLY RACIST? Your comment is very rude. I don’t think Sanjaya should still be in the top 12, but it has nothing to do with Indian people. Mkay??? I think a bunch of young girls are voting for him, because he is the only thing close to a teen idol on this season’s show. He is like JPL, and Kevin Covais. He will sail for awhile, but not much longer. He is a teenage cutie with no extraordinary talent.

No body is going to spend money on international calls to vote for Sanjaya. Also from India (or any other) country you cannot use the 800 or 866 number directly.
VFTW is doing a good job, but they have recently adopted Sanjaya, earlier they were rooting for Sundance and Antonella.
It might be possible, there are other contestants who might have been pissed at american idol for rejecting them. Just remember all the guys everybody laughed at during initial auditions. It might be possible they are laughing now, when they see Sanjaya winning.
Another theory might be American Idol producers might have been playing with the votes and make Sanjaya win just to show that they are fair. Or may be the producers want to show the contrast between very good and very bad. Do you think America has just got Lakisha and Melinda. There are lot of people out there just like the top 2 girls.
Just enjoy the american idol like any other soap opera rather than reality tv show.

I think that it is good Sanjaya made it. You can think that he is bad and a discrase. But I like him, no matter what. And I think that he will make it farther in the competition. But I think Blake Lewis is gonna win this thang!

“Votefortheworst ” has managed to ruin one of the best talent programs ever. I can’t believe this is controlling and runing this program. Even if Sayjaya wins this contest none will hear of him after this , that is if he doesn’t end up advertising hair producds and jewelry for Avon.

alrighty,, something is definiteley wrong!
i mean come on guys… why is sanjaya here….. i dont think think he shooda even made it to the top 25! his only “good” performance to me was his audition!!!! i think his sister was better
anyway,, when sabrina and sundance got kicked off i was sooo shocked. Everyone knows that Sabrina and Sundance could sing cirlce around Sanjaya!
But then i was like ok,, Sanjaya HAS to be gone this week… but NOPE Brandon goes, who was also better than sanjaya!
Then, when they said Gina Haley Sanjaya on 3/21 i was like OK THIS IS THE BOTTOM,, AMERICA FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT
BUT NO! THERE ALL SAFE WHAT THE HELL!
And then it comes down to Chris Richardson and stephanie I WAS AMAZED

Leave Sanjaya alone! For the first time he is representing the indian people! If you think no one is voting for Sanjaya ur WRONG! Alot of people are voting for him because he represents the indian community and if you have a problem with him being on the show DEAL WITH IT!
