  he’s only 17 - so Ill cut him some slack there. He has a lot of nuts to be where he is, and he is a cute kid BUT……… based on vocal talent and ability- I gotta think sumpthin’ is up.

  Come ON. Were you guys deaf when he sang “Ain’t No Mountain High?” To me, it sounded suspiciously like the sound of my TiVo fast forwarding. *bleepbloop* Sure, he’s just a seventeen year old kid, but this is a singing competition, for the love of Simon Cowell! It’s not a “Cutest Hairstyle” competition. Which he also wouldn’t win if it were up to me. C’mon, I agree with the article. I’ve been saying it ever since they showed the top 24… It’s just unfair that people are voting based on what someone’s ethnicity is, rather than on the talent that they possess and the passion they demonstrate.

  See exactly why Simon Cowell is there. Apparently a lot of you people out here are tone -death. the boy CAN’T SING. Maybe at his family re-union, but not on American Idol. One of the morning shows was talking about the mass conspiracy to vote for the worst singer. Cute and cute hair has nothing to do with his inability to “Sing” people. Come on now !

  who cares if sanjaya is 17 and such a sweetheart…HE SUCKS!!! i dont know what it wrong with some of these people but sanjaya does not deserve to be in the competition let alone the top 10…tonight stephanie and chris did not deserve to be in the bottom two…sanjaya needs to go he is absolutely terrible and anyone who says he is good is obviously tone deaf. i agree with this article 100% and if another person gets voted off and sanjaya stays i will never watch idol again…and i am one of idols biggest fans…

  I HATE SANJAYA!!! It’s a horrible thing to say, but it’s what I feel. He has no talent, and anyone who disagrees is simply blinded by …something that I apparantly don’t see. The problem is that I have no valid reason to hate Sanjaya. There are plenty of people in this world with absolutely no vacal abilities (I’m one of them), and I don’t hate any of them. So why Sanjaya? Perhaps because he doesn’t deserve to be on TV, but that’s not his fault. While I don’t think I’ll be able to stop hating the kid as long as I have to keep fast forwarding through his songs (thank God for TiVo), I do know - deep down inside - that he really isn’t the one who deserves my hate. This hate should be saved for all of the people that are keeping him on the show for all the wrong reasons. These reasons may include:

  1) Voting for him to support some “vote-for-the-worst” campaign.
  2) Voting for him because of his race (which believe me, is only going to convince the world that Indians really can’t sing).
  3) Voting for him because you’re blinded by whatever.

  But since I don’t know who these people are, I don’t know how to hate them. So I hate Sanjaya instead.

  It doesn’t matter which reasons are more or less valid, what matters is that keeping Sanjaya around is mean. It’s mean to the other contestants, it’s mean to the show, it’s mean to those who actually watch the show because they like to see talented singers, and most importantly, it’s mean to Sanjaya. Right or wrong, I will continue to hate Sanjaya more and more the longer he stays around. And I will not be alone. Sanjaya doesn’t deserve any of this hate, but he will feel it, and he may go down in history as the worst finalist in the history of the show. You want me to leave the poor kid alone? Fine, but I’m not the one being mean to him.

  Sanjaya cannot sing, he is absolutely horrible. His hair styles are terrible and he does not deserve to be a part of the American Idol. Who cares what freakin country he comes from! he stinks! GO HOME SANJAYA!!!

  I HATE HIM! He cannot sing at all, he looks and sounds like a girl. It is wrong for people to vote for him because he is the worst on the whole show. He is a million times worse than that ugly girl who sang “Like a virgin” at the auditions. If he can last this long then Simon will be named most liked person in the world. He really SUCKS!

  Obviously, the people who think he is anywhere near good, do not watch the show. He is awful. Sundance & now Chris were both SO SO SO much better than him & because of him- they got kicked off. At first I thought this was just a publicity stunt… but now it’s to far in. They’ve already kicked off decent people. He prob will win, and if that’s the case: this is last season I’ll be watching.

  I Hate Sanjaya..not only because he continues to stay on idol…but because with evey passing episode another idol contestant unfairly is voted off. You can see that Sanjaya knows that he doesnt belong in the top 10. He puts his hair in funny fasions and styles and does all kind of weird stuff just for votes. It baffles me why anyone voting strictly on singing would vote for Sanjaya. He can’t sing. People vote for him for their own agenda, whether it be they want some one of Indian ethnicity to win…or maybe wut iv come to think personaly, which is sanjaya is gay, and those who are gay are voting for him soley on that reason (im not saying there is anything wrong with being gay) however… voting for him just because he is possibly gay…or cute…or dark skinned is wrong. it wouldnt matter to me if he put his hair in crazy fashions or was gay or whatever if he could really sing than he would be deserving of all the votes he gets but because he sucks at singing him staying on the show is wrong. Sanjaya is already becoming an embarrassment for Idol. I say that they should change the rules…vote for the person who you think is the worst this way u prevent people of sole agendas from voting for one particular person for any given reason other than singing ability.

  I doubt that I will be watching American Idol after this season. Not just because od Sanjaya , but because they ( the judges) voted him to goto Holleywood. What were they thinking. I hear Simon say continually , this is a singing compitition, well Simion you let him come to Holleywood. So this is not a singing compitition ANYMORE. American Idol must be suffering from 6th season slumps. So if a person would like to be a aspiring singer , so aduition , with American Idol. Get a singing coach & go on a talk show & audition & get treated with diginity .
  Really sad to see American Idol & its judges to stoop so low for ratings & viewers.

  Sanjaya , retain your diginity & bow out.

  OMG this whole conspiracy is pissing me off. I feel so sorry for Simon. His show is being ruined by total MORONS. When I first saw Sanjaya, I was like “He’s pretty good and cute.” Then after he got in the Top 24, he just plain sucked. The only thing he has are looks, nothing else. I totally agree with RJ.

  I love American Idol. Its fun to watch, but when they are kicking off really good singers, it just gets me so mad and angry. They should change the rules of the show so that this kind of thing does not happen. I think there should be a lawsuit against those 2 sites that are getting Sanjaya to stay in.

  And the reason for him staying on the show is not because Indian people are voting for him……. there’s just NOT that many Indians in America and plus Indian people don’t watch American Idol!!!!
