A spokeswoman for former “American Idol” contestant Elliot Yamin has said his delay in releasing an album is due to his role in the ongoing “Idol” tour.
The New York Post said while three of Yamin’s former “Idol” opponents have already released albums of their own, last season’s fan favorite has been weighing offers for his first album while on tour and doing charity work.
Yamin gained notoriety on the musical reality late show when he finished third overall and thanked his mother for his success on the series.
But with former third season contestants Kellie Pickler, Chris Daughtry and Katharine McPhee having all produced their own solo albums, rumors were circulating about the delay in an offering from Yamin.
“He’s entertaining offers. There are two companies interested,” the singer’s spokeswoman told the Post.
“He’s got a few things in the works and will have something firmed up very soon.”
