How will the American Fans Votes for Tonight’s 5-23-06 American Idol Finals? Will they vote for Either Taylor Hicks or Katharine McPhee due to geographical concerns? Taylor Hicks is from Birmingham Alabama while Katharine McPhee hails from LA right outside of Hollywood.
The viewing public for the final 3 votes of 50 million recorded votes split almost evenly last week with 33% going to Taylor, Katharine and Voted off Elliott Yamin. Across the internet the Buzz topic today is American Idol. Newspaper columnists from around the country are evenly divided between Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks. There is no discernible geographical division from the editorial comments.
Taylor Hicks has his “Soul Patrol” Following and should pick up votes from the Elliott Yamin and Chris Daughtry fans, upset that Kat surpassed their favorites. It would be shocking if Kat brings home the Idol title, but stranger things have happened in the past and even this season.
Katharine while talented and attractive, doesn’t seem to have the American Idol Vo
tes to push her through, even though many celebrities have endorse her in a Late Public relations campaign.
Tonight’s voting could be a Landslide victory for Taylor Hicks and would be an acceptable conclusion for American Idol 5. If Katharine pulls out a victory, I can assure you the Conspiracy theories and Upset Fans will make their opinions known Loud and Clear.
Til tonight American Idol Fans, get your Dialing fingers ready, program your speed dial, set up you auto dialing computer programs, and get the cell phone text message ready.
