The American Idols perform songs from Elvis Presley this evening (5-9-06). Looking at many sites around the net, their are very diverse opinions and predictions of Who is going home.
The folks over at www.realitytvmagazine.com think Elliott Yamin Will be Voted Off. The only thing to save him would be a Great Performance.
Simon Crowell, American idol Judge dismissed Elliott when being interviewed by Good Morning American.
The Boston Herold newspaper columnist wished Taylor Hicks would vacate the American Idol Show.
Several other sites predicted Katharine McPhee.
American Idol Fan, predicts Richmond Virginia’s own Elliott Yamin will be voted off American Island on 5-10-06.

Well I was completely shocked when Chris was voted off. He was the one who turned his songs into his own no matter what he was singing. He is so talented. You cant even compare his talent to the ones that are left.
Im not watching the rest of the season because I think something is definelty not right. Katherine should of been going home especially with her two songs from Tues.
Im disgusted and I did try to vote for an hour and a half I I could not get through!

I had the same opinion that you had, but I visited a site recently that polls people who vote on american idol… dialidol .com . Amazingly, they have been very accurate, and shocking enough, he was picked to be voted off the night he left. If you check the polls, you will find he was never the top voted singer, and many times was almost at the bottom. I think the thing is, people either loved him, or didnt. Also, the nights he had to sing things that were harder for him, or out of his safety zone (rock) his votes really fell.
I thought he was great, and although upset initially, I dont think he has anything to worry about. He is a star, and will do well without the AI title.
