American Idol 2011 – Jacob Lusk

Jacob Lusk is a strong contender for the American Idol title this year. A 23-year-old California native, Lusk is active in his church and performs in his church choir. For a living, Jacob Lusk works as a spa concierge, a job that he’s probably awesome at, considering his wonderful personality and his gracious nature.

I’m thinking that we didn’t see Jacob Lusk’s initial audition, but if I’m wrong puh-lease correct me. I know he performed “Get Ready” on Group Night in Hollywood (along with fellow Top 13-er Naima Adedapo), and here is the video – skip to 1:30:

Obviously Jacob Lusk was the standout in THAT performance, that Steven said they’d been waiting all day for.He is just so enthusiastic! His solo performance in Hollywood was even better. Check out Jacob Lusk singing “God Bless the Child.” The performance got a standing ovation.

Later, Jacob Lusk performed in Vegas with fellow contenders Naima Adedapo and Haley Reinhart. Jimmy Iovine cautioned Jacob against over-singing all the time. When you’ve got such a big voice I bet it’s hard to reign it in. The performance was awesome, and foreshadowed each of the three performers’ future, since they’re all in the Top 13.

Randy told Jacob, after that performance that he “had the gas in the car” and to NEVER hold back. Take that, Jimmy.

Finally, when the Top 12 Guys performed, Jacob Lusk sang “A House is Not A Home” and blew the doors off it.

We expect great things from Jacob Lusk.

He stinks I don’t like him at all he has got to go he sounds horrible so does that one girl who was a wild card and looks weird with red lips and weird clothes and hair she’s horrible at singing she should of been voted off a long time ago her fake crying she should be gone America didn’t even vote for her she won’t last now for too long.

Misty, he has a beautiful voice and he sings from his heart .His very natural and when you learn about music,then you may express your self.It’s no a beauty contest it’s a best singer contest ok.

Did anyone notice that Jacob Lusk sang a Michael Jackson song and his comments right after was “It’s the greatest feeling to go out there and sing something that you feel and that you know will TOUCH other people.” LOL Great performance though.

I love Jacob Lusk, but I really don’t want him to win. I thinks he kind of arrgoant, but he has a great voice- HE’S LUTHER MAN.
