American Idol 2011 – Haley Reinhart

20-year-old Haley Reinhart has been singing most of her life. At 8 years old she performed a bit with her parents Harry and Patti and their band. According to the local Fox Chattanooga station, her parents are still in that band, but the only Chicago-area band called “Midnight” I could find didn’t list Harry and Patti as members. Can anyone clarify that for us?

Either way, Haley Reinhart’s musical chops can’t be denied. She tried out for American Idol in season 9, but didn’t make it, so when she showed up at her audition in Milwaukee to audition, she reminded the judges that she’d been told to come back.

Haley Reinhart’s favorite band and biggest musical influence is The Beatles, which accounts for her audition song choice for sure. She’s a graduate of Wheeling High School in Illinois, where she participated with the Jazz Band and other musical groups at school. At a mere 20 years old, she knows what she wants to do for a living. She wants to sing.

Standing in the dark, wearing a long black dress on, with the spot light on her, sun rays in the back ground, with the mic on a stand – and not smiling or bouncing around. She has a powerful voice, and if done correctly, would blow them away and could win it!

You are unique I have loved your voice from day 1, you have that Janice Joplin sound about you. I am from Chicago. I would like to hear you sing I Got The Music In Me by KiKi Dee I think you would bring down the house where ever you are!!!! Good Luck.

I think hailey has a wonderful voice and she has amazing talent. But she isn’t humble and it takes away from her over all persona. But I have to give it to her..once you get her mad she is fierce. But it shouldn’t take that.

I loved Haleys voice it was so different. Since you got voted off I hope Lauren wins. Scotty has a good voice but I hate country stuff. Lauren is country but alot better. I love Haleys music and especially when her and Casey teamed up. I hope they do a duo concert sometime.
