I love results night on American Idol. Why? Because not only it is full of stuff I can make fun of, but it’s the day someone exists the competition… which then means this show is almost OVER for the year. However, for now I gotta recap. So, shall we?
Here’s my somewhat chronological recap of the night, with added snarkiness. For all those lacking a fun personality, please don’t take this seriously. And don’t inform me I can make a recap without being mean. I could, but then you would have nothing to complain about. Touche?
Idol Group Performance:
Well, half of the group… Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk and Stefano Langone performed “Hey, Soul Sister.” And by performed I mean butcher. Jacob was looking EXTRA un-straight with those dance moves he was working in the beginning of the song. I liked that part! And the fact that Haley looked like an upside down carrot.
Idol Group Performance #2:
This time with James Durbin, Casey Abrams and Scotty McCreery. These 3 stooges performed Viva La Vida. I’m not a fan of Coldplay, but I do like that song… just not when these boys do it. I’m trying to figure out who was singing higher than the other 2, because one of them sounded way off. Oh well, I guess it’s not their fault that get forced to sing together.
Ford Music Video:
And the last one at that. Well, I think. Is that what Ryan meant? I can’t ever understand him these days. He confuses me. Either way. You can imagine how the Ford Video went. Aha. Is there theme this year about saving the planet? Cool concept I suppose. They performed the song “Would” … by Alice In Chains??
Voter Results:
Scotty McCreery, Casey Abrams and Jacob Lusk were up first. We gt to find out that Scotty now has cupcakes named after him. Omnomnom? Oh, and Casey’s intentions were only to BREATHE on J-Lo’s face. Thank god he kissed her instead. Scotty was safe along with Casey. That sent Jacob to the Bottom 3. Tragic? I’d say not!
Guest Performances:
David Cook performed “The Last Goodbye.” I can’t honestly say that was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. But, if you love David Cook and want to check out my video and pictures (and even an Autograph) I got by him… check out the post from Petapalooza 2011.
Show Filler:
The contestants have been able to get out and about lately. Which is cool for them. So, they all got to go see a Dodgers game, and even meet Tommy Lasorda which is something Scotty was uber stoked about. They also got to go to the Spa, where James took the place of Stefano’s Masseuse and gave him a message… or a beating. That was funny.
More Voter Results:
Lauren Alaina, James Durbin and Stefano Langone were brought down to the center of the stage. Stefano was in the bottom 3. No shock there. Also, Haley took hold of her own personalized stool. How sadddd! But, soon after, she got sent back to safety.
Guest Performance:
Katy Perry with Kanye West came out to perform “E.T.” I like the music video of that song, so I was kind of hoping she would come out and have the makeup/clothes and she DID. YAY. She always looks so pretty. Kanye just looked like a douche as usual. How man animals was he wearing?
Final Results:
Jacob Lusk and Stefano Langone…………… Stefano was voted off idol. OH HOW UNSHOCKING. Oh well, he was happy when he went out. Can you imagine when Jacob gets voted off? Oh Jesus. James was upset about Stefano leaving though, I bet they had a fairly good Bromance going on.

UGH, I hate Stefano! He sounds like a mutant dying cat with rabies being run over by a eighteen wheeler with a band of howler monkeys at the wheel- COUNTIOUSLY. The Top Three should be Lauren Alania, Scotty McCreery, and Casy Abrams.

i love james durbin he is the only one that is even decent along with halie, pia could only sing ballards very boring after a while, GO JAMES !!!! and HALIE!!!!! either one should win now that Paul is gone!!!My favorite

They saved Casey, not Stefano (or do you mean early on when they kept 13 people?). Jacob should have gone–he’s worse than Stefano! He’s got the range but he keeps singing the same songs, the same way with that weird vibrato that makes me think of dinner theatre or bad acting. He’s also arrogant with the “man in the mirror” comment and his comment last night that he had “brought his talent to America.” This guy is so full of himself! I really think Scotty will be in the top 3 unless he keeps singing boring songs like Swinging. If it was truly just about talent, Adam Lambert would have won. Or Danny Gokey (though Kris Allen is a great singer, too). Having the judges hype a particular singer can be the kiss of death though. That may have been what happened to Chris Daughtry. America doesn’t like to be “told” who the winner should be. Simon damned Danny Gokey with too much praise, but ensure that Taylor Hicks won because he picked on him so much. He seemed to figure that out with the two Davids. He rode Cook hard during the last of the competition because he apparently wanted him to win (and probably didn’t want to deal with Archie’s diva dad). I can live with James, Haley or Scotty winning. Casey is okay but he seems kind of full of himself now too. Lauren is cute, but she sounds like every female country singer in the world.

i love idol been watching it since the beginning and i agree adam lambert should of won hes the best!!!! I also love durbin and halie , stefano stinks!!!! go idol!!

I don’t think people should say who they hate, we are not out there in front of the audience singing, it is a lot of pressure. I was surprised to see Paul leave and Stephano stay as long as he did, he is not as strong as the others. James is very versatile, and has proved himself many times. Scotty is getting boring singing the same kind of stuff, and casey is getting boring too. I believe James is the best man so far. I vote for James! May the best man win. Haley has a gorjous voice, if she would choose the right songs, that bring out her talent. thank you

I think it was the right call. At this point we are starting to see the real good, great and outstanding. He didnt cut it. Not to say he cant do something he just was in a class of people who could out do him. America did a great job in voting.

I am very excited that Stephano got voted off. It was the right desicion. I don’t know why people keep saying that Jacob is going to get voted off. That is rediculous. I think the top three are going to be Hailey, Casey, and Jacob. Those are the three people with the real talent. Scotty, well, he’s boring.

Okay seriously? Y’all are wrong Scotty is amazing and he’s obviously going to win because like 50% of idol watchers like country music and he’s the only true country singer on here. And he’s not boring so he chose a little bit slower song this last week? Get over it!!! I love that boy and his voice an he probally has the most control and developed voice on the show so y’all can say what you want but I will be a Scotty supporter till the end! <3

I luv stefano!! I dont get why everyone likes haily so much. She has no idea what kind of artist she wants to be while others are clear on what they want. I expected stefano to get kicked off before the top 3 but i never expected stefano to get kicked off before haily!! By the way paul was horrible! He was a bad dancer nd a bad singer i dont know why you like him either! My top 3 would be james casey nd lauren! (pia wouldve been in it instead of laurem)

I do think a lot more people like Scotty then most of us first thought. I mean… undoubtedly, the boy has some serious talent… whether he wins or not, he will have a career, just because that would be a huge waste of voice for some big county people to be able to make money off of.

just real quick to the whiner who complained about the article…relax. and learn to enjoy the humor and sarcasm in things. it keeps life fresh and entertaining.
now, the results. although i’m not surprised stefano was voted off, i would rather have seen the “diva” get voted off. he has never really “wowed” me with anything he’s performed. at the same time, neither did stefano. ugh, and scotty. boring, boring, boring. he doesn’t sound good singing anything but country. and his voice is too low and too plain for me. he and jakob need to go. i don’t know how the three even made it this far. as for the rest of the remaining idols, my mind changes every week.
i’m a recent BIG haley fan, especially after elton john, janis and adele. always been a fan of lauren. for a 15 year old, that girl can sing BIG. and for those of you who don’t think so, you don’t really know music very well. and james. oh james. he’s got the voice, the looks, and the moves to win it.
