Top 7: James Durbin “Uprising” – VIDEO
The American Idols got to sing some newer songs tonight. Oh thank god. No Motown, or other crap we hate. As a matter of fact, the Theme for Idol tonight was 21st Century Week. I was really hoping for some Kesha, Lady Gaga and Rebecca Black. Oh damn, too bad it’s not Friday. But for now, James Durbin choose “Uprising” by Muse.
Cait’s thoughts…
Muse is one of my favourite bands, so I was seriously hoping he wouldn’t completely kill this song. Not like that song hasn’t been over-killed on the radio… but that is neither here nor there… he did okay. It’s not like it gave me happy feelings.
Judges thoughts…
Steven: “You stay out of my closest.”
J-Lo: “That theatrically is the best performance of the night. Wow.”
Randy: “Dude you are unbelievable out there.”

Such and amazing performance, James Durbin could be more than an idol and . . .could be a new leader of the free world. I hope he believes what he is singing, I do. I absolutely love his genuine and true humanity, all of what makes him different. . .he is stunning. I see exceptional and talented autistic people every where in society, he transcends this, but at the same time embraces his autism . . .thank you James for being so f#$$^&^&ing awesome and sharing your awesomeness. Stay humble, stay true, and always . . .be James.

I think James does a great job on stage, Especially because he puts together his performances, Thats a true performer !!! I just love watching what he’s gonna come up with next! He’s quite the entertainer !!!! He does bring a lot to the table>

James is awesome. His rawness is what makes him so special and he has great talent for changing up a song to reflect his innerself and what he is as an artist. Most great band singers do not have flawless voices, they just have control, originality and showmanship. That’s James all over…He will go on to great things whether he wins or not. In fact, I hope he doesn’t because it will hold him back. I love his creativity and passion.

I love everything about this guy ! I hope the tables turn, when the other contestants leave , that James will pick up their votes. Scotty is winning by a mile and the way he acted Wednesday night he knows it !!!! I hope he gets knocked out out of the saddle, soon.

James Durbin is like the whole reason I watch Idol this year. Casey is pretty good too but James has an amazing voice AND he is an amazing performer! I seriously hope he wins. This song was an awesome choice for James and he has offically got me hooked on it. Here’s hoping that James wins the whole thing
