It was Movie Week on American Idol as you guys may have known. Which means the contestants got to pick songs from particular movies. Well, Lauren Alaina picked “The Climb” from the movie Hannah Montana.
Cait’s thoughts:
I hate this song, and I hate Hannah Montana. But, she couldn’t make this song any more horrid than it already is.
Judges thoughts:
J-Lo: “I loved hearing you sing that. I want you to go further.”
Randy: “You made that sound sound like it was written for you. Amazing job.”
Steven: “It’s just beautiful. You move me beyond tears.”

I voted for her as many times as I could! I think she did a fantastic job with a good song. She trumped Miley Cyrus. The lyrics of this song are beautiful and Lauren definitely brought the emotion of the song out much more than the Disney pop star did.

Lauren Alaina has an amazing voice. She is most definately the most talented on the show. She could sing anything & do a great job. She deserves to win the title of American Idol; if she don’t, I am certain she will still have a successful career as a singer/performer. Keep doing what you’ve been doing Lauren, you are already a shining star.

Lauren has been my favorite from the start, but the last 3 performances just blew my mind. She has really kicked it up a few notches & showed how talented she really is. She has already won this competition in my books.
