I’m sure you guys all know the results of last nights show. How could you not? Everyone seems to be so shocked about it… when clearly it’s not a shock. But, I don’t want to start any arguments (yes I do) so I probably won’t get into it that much. However, encase you missed this lovely results show… here is a play by play recap, in semi chronological order. Enjoy!
The show starts off by asking us who our favourite was this year. Basically we got to see meaningless, time filler excerpts from the Idols performances and what the judges said about them/they said about themselves. And honestly, I have no idea who’s my favourite. We’ll discuss this in another article later. Who’s your favourite? Comment below and tell me!
Group Performance:
They perform “I Love Rock and Roll” and “My Baby Wrote Me a Letter,” along with “Sweet Home Alabama.” Several times this season I have had suicidle thoughts after this dreaded group number. Does anyone think they’re still lip-syncing this year? Now I’m just not sure. Because they all sound so bad, that it seems more realistic.
Ford Music Video:
Did anyone get this? I liked last weeks way better. It was cool. This one was just strange and I didn’t get it at all. Paul was robbing a bank, and Haley was running away with it? Huh? The song was called “Love Gun” for anyone who wants to know. I guess that’s better than “Pocket Rocket.”
Guest Mentor:
RUSSELL BRAND! That’s right!!!!! American Idol’s “Charismatic Coach” Russell Brand came out to Mentor to the Idols about being the whole package when you work out. I love Russell Brand. His unconventionalness is his greatest attribute. He said that Paul McDonald needs crack and Jacob Lusk needs to strip. (How Jesus. How unsightly.) And James Durbin needs to know how to do some strange leg lifting. Ahhh. Russell is so bloody cool! – Video Of Russell Brand On American Idol.
Voter Results:
Casey, Stefano and Lauren were asked to the center of the strange. Lauren was sent………. back to safety OBVIOUSLY. But, so was Casey. Stefano was also in the Bottom 3.
Guest Performances:
Constantine Maroulis performed his rendition of “Unchained Melody.” I can say I wasn’t a fan of the performance. But, since Idol, Constantine has become a daddy to a baby girl. Aww, she’ll be cute when she grows up. She has big brown eyes… Psh! Epic!
Backstage With Gwen:
As we know, Gwen Stefani helped out the contestants with their stylizing. She did a good job on everyone BUT Pia. Pia looked like an animal. It was ugly! Does anyone know how old Gwen is?
More Results:
Paul, Scotty and Pia were asked down to the center of the pit. Everyone was safe, BUT Pia. AHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, I’m sorry. That’s just funny, even still. I know Paul and Stefano were just like, “You serious bro?”
Show Filler:
TMZ let the Idols pop into their office to get some advice about what it’s going to be like when they get famous. If you ask Casey who he’s dating, his response will be, “Your Mom!”
Some More Results, Bro:
Haley, James and Jacob were brought down… yeah, yeah okay we get it. Jacob got thrown into the Bottom 3. Which was extremely funny for us who heard what he said just before singing “Man In the Mirror” and that was; “If I don’t get any votes, it’s because you can’t look at yourself in the mirror.” Oh, Jacob. Poor you, getting thrown off your high horse. Shame.
Guest Performance:
Are you ready for it? IGGY POP. A shirtless one at that. I’m a teenage girl, and after that, I will seriously never be the same. That was the nastiest thing I’ve seen since Hulk Hogan. His skin was about really to fall off. And he really thought he was sexy. Steven Tyler is sexy compared to that… Oh wait no, I take that back. If Iggy Pop, Steven Tyler and Hulk Hogan got up on stage… that would be one nasty arse Wrinkled Orgy Fest. No girls would run up on stage for that. OHHHHH my god! Gross.
Final Results:
Ryan (Cruella Deville) scares Jacob by telling him he’s leaving……… to go back to the seats. He also then sends Stefano back. Oh, you know what that means kiddies? Pia Toscano was voted off idol. It pissed the judges off, as you can imagine. J-Lo was even crying.
So, what do you guys think about these results? Some people are boycotting Idol… saying American Girls are just jealous… Oh so many excuses she didn’t get through. Personally, I just think it was her lack of personality. She was annoying. You look at her, and it’s like there’s nothing going on. I don’t care what you guys say, personalty does have a lot to do with this competition, whether it’s a singing competition or not. Would you want to see her on a talk show? No!

This just goes to show that American idol is over.
Now it’s come to the point when ONLY girls vote on this show, and they don’t vote for the good singers, they vote for the guys that they like like.
This is so annoying. 2 girls. 6 guys.
There were 6 great girls, on maybe 2 great guys.
Even by reading the comments above, the girls are happy Paul is safe for his smile.
Paul can’t even sing.
And I’m incredibly mad that these other people are getting farther in the competition, when they shouldn’t.
Watch, next week Haley will go, and soon Lauren.

Well….quite frankly I’m glad she’s gone. She has a boring personality, and let’s face it…we don’t support recording artists that we think are boring. I think she stayed on the show too long. the others are better than her.
I also think the guys on his season have some seriously HOTT TALENT!! They’re all pretty amazing. So yea…that’s my opinion. Though I know it doesn’t really matter to anyone but me.

I think American Idol has to seriously come up with another way of voting(scoring) for these talented people….instead of using the one-sided votes of teenage GIRLS….Pia has a wide range in her vocals, she is seldom pitchy, she is beautiful, and perhaps, what is conceived as boring, could be a bit of shyness and just getting used to performing in front of millions of people…Maybe one way of getting around this dilemma, would be to have ONE GIRL winner and ONE BOY winner.

Might be better if the judges had apart in the vote like dancing with the stars. it is purely a popularity contest. Adam Lambert was the best in 09 and didn’t win. Crystal Bowersocks the best in 10 and didn’t win and now Pia getting voted off before Paul, Lauren,Stephano,Casey. No credibility to this show and to bring in a singer like the shirtless flab that they bleeped 3 or 4 times. This show won’t be around much longer.

Hey guys, remember……this is a talent contest, NOT a peronality contest. The concept of Idol is great but to leave choosing a talent to the public where we vote on personalities that are not boring? Give me a break ! Pia will be picked up, if not already, to record and we will be hearing of her in the future. Now these guys like Paul? We’ll hear from him as ofte as we hear from Taylor Hicks and Chris Allen. Maybe he can be as fortunate as Chris and appear in the Ford commercials.

Oh my god pia should not have gone home!!!!!!!!! I had just been thinking (while watching wednesday’s show) she is going to win! I cannot believe what happened and oh my godddddd this is just wrong! Her voice was so strong and she was never pitchy, Jacob or Scottie or (sad to say) Paul should have gone home first before she did!!!!! This is rigged and is meant to bring attention to the show. Not watching anymore, this ruined it for me.

Hey mojowoo, I agree. But what I thought was the right winged american public would not accept an Adam or Crystal because they were not your image of your girl or boy next door. Now I know I’m wrong. How more “girl next door” of an image can you get than PIA. The voters just do not recognize talent.

No one has ever mentioned she wasn’t talented. She is. But she comes off as a snob. Someone who thinks she’s better than everyone else. She may not be like that in person, but if so, she needed to lighten up when the cameras were on her. Nothing funny or cute has ever come from that girl. Whether you think it’s just a singing competition or not, personality has A LOT to do with being famous and successful.

I can’t believe she got voted off! I was sure she was going to win. She’s the best singer out of everyone on that stage w/the best voice. She’s an extremely strong singer. This show is just like high school where popularity always wins over talent and who should win. This show SUCKS!!

I’ve been a vocal coach for 20 years with students in the top 5 in vocal competitions. America got it wrong voting off Pia. Personality doesn’t sell records. Look at the winners in the past who have fun personalities but aren’t selling records like Taylor Hicks, Chris Allen. The credit belongs to the vocal talent of Adam Lambert, Katherine McPhee, and others that should’ve won because they have the vocals and performance skills.

Now that Peisha McPhee has joined Idol as vocal coach, what a treat it would be for her to sing with daughter and Idol alumni Katharine on the show! Give the show some class – not Iggy Pop!!!!
