American Idol Auditioned Beth Stalker of Flint Michigan makes it to Hollywood
Flint Michigan has another contestant “going to Hollywood” as part of the hit-TV, reality show “American Idol.”
Beth Stalker, 28, of Grand Blanc, was shown auditioning in Philadelphia on the season premiere of “American Idol” Tuesday January 15, 2008. She got two out of three yes votes from the famous judges, which was enough to send her on to Hollywood and the next round of the competition. Flint native LaKisha Jones made it to the final four of last season’s “American Idol.”
Stalker was one of 29 people to make it through to the next round in the premiere of the seventh season of “Idol.”
The often critical Simon Cowell voted against sending Stalker to Hollywood, while Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson said yes.
Stalker, who nervously sang “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” was briefly featured on the show before her audition talking about her young daughter. She also told the judges she always wanted to audition and being age, 28, this was her final year of eligibility.
The show played off Stalker’s last name by showing her immediately after a man sang a song about how he loved Abdul and wanted to stalk her.
Unfortunately according to our own Idol Spoilers Beth Stalker was cut in the Hollywood Rounds.
