Olivia Newton-John spent her birthday this week as a guest judge for American Idol auditions and came away impressed by the singers.
“Some of them are very young and they’re green but you can see their potential,” she said. “They have a different voice or a different way of presenting themselves.”

American Idol Auditions back to Birmingham AL for Round 3

The judges from Fox TV’s “American Idol” will be in Birmingham this weekend for the third round of auditions for next season’s show.
Auditions are slated for a Birmingham hotel on Friday and Saturday. Judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul will be in town.
