Heejun Han is a Korean-American from Flushing, New York. Han auditioned for American Idol Season 11 in Pittsburgh, PA. American Idol set him up to look like he was going to be terrible, as Heejun offered some comic relief when he was joking about the size of Ryan Seacrest‘s head. However, he wowed the judges with his version of Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You?”
Heejun Han is a rumored American Idol Season 11 Top 24 contestant.
Heejun claims to have never sung in front of his family or friends before.

I used to review rock music (Elvis Costello’s first concert in the U.S.; the Sex Pistol’s last, Bob Dylan, Springsteen’s legendary concert at Winterland, S. Francisco in Dec. 1976…)
There were many great performances this week — not the least of which was Sanchez’s. Many moved me deeply — but there was one that actually brought tears to my eyes — and that was Keejun’s. The way he sang that song was so honest and intimate and beautiful…
I LOVE Heejun. Everyone expects a dorky high voice or a heavy accent — and he opens his mouth and it’s midnight blue silk. I also think that he has a very handsome face. Look at his strong clean jawline and chin, his nose. If he stays in — and I really hope he does — I think we are going to see a huge transformation in his confidence, in his image. I really think this guy could go all the way. I am not Asian-American, but I would LOVE to see him do that for the Korean community. I don’t care if he wins it or not — actually, I think it’s better for artists it they don’t because then they’re much freer to do what they want and not stuck in contrctual obligations (I think…God knows how deep AI sinks its claws in..!) But I DO hope that this is the start of a wonderful career for Keejun…and that I get to see and hear much more of him.
