Last week, DialIdol predicted that Kris Allen would be the one who would get sent home, and Scott MacIntyre would live to “see” another day. Thankfully, they were wrong for once, and Kris Allen wasn’t even in the bottom three!
However, despite a great performance from Kris last night, DialIdol predicts that he might be in trouble this week. Though, according to the scores this week, it looks like the margin between contestants is so small that everyone except for the Gokemeister might be in trouble!
We didn’t get to hear Simon’s critique of Kris’ performance of “Falling Slowly” this week, but I don’t think he would have agreed with Randy, who didn’t like it. Therefore, if it is Kris’ turn to be in the hot seat this week, I think the judges will use their save. I’m also gonna go ahead and predict that Lil, Anoop, and Matt G might be in trouble! Lil, despite disappointing for the last several weeks, will probably still hang around for a little while longer. Freemantle is pretty PC, and I don’t think it will look good for the only African-American in the competition to go home before #4.
Here’s the rank of voting scores, according to DialIdol for this week:
- Danny Gokey
- Lil Rounds
- Adam Lambert
- Anoop Desai
- Allison Iraheta
- Matt Giraud
- Kris Allen
Who do you think will go home this week? If there is going to be a judges’ save, I’m betting it may come this week!

Kris Allen the Underdog Darkhorse has been out on Dial Idol three times. The first time he appeared, last week and then this week during Movie week.
Kris is the underdog who fights to be in this competition.
Dial Idol has been thrown for a loop by the true underdog on the show; Kris Allen.

Also Lil is not the only African-American in the competition. Matt Giraud is part African-American on his mother’s side.

I am a huge Danny Gokey fan including my whole clan. We love you Danny and for us, you are always our American Idol Winner for 2009. We are all here to support you. Wow, was really overwhelmed when the judges decided to save Matt. He deserved a second chance. He is talented and so is Kris.
Danny inspires us a lot…

I hope DialIdol stop predicting Kris is unsafe. He is my favourite! He should get into the top 3 at least & I hope is in the finals with Adam.
Matt has been in the bottom 3 twice (& once was the lowest vote-getter) & Allison has been in the bottom 3 three times. They are both very good but I would get annoyed if Kris went home before them. Kris hasn’t been in the bottom 3 once, which is impressive. He did one bad performance (’all she wants to do is dance’) but managed to miss out on the bottom 3 even then. Unless he gives another really bad performance he should be safe for a couple more weeks.

Adam is the bomb ! I cannot believe Adam was not signed to a record label prior to Idol – and that is took this long for someone to cash in on his talent ! The guy is amazing and will be a big star soon . You Go Adam , can’t wait until you record your own music , I will be your biggest fan.

I’m surprised that the judges and Seacrest r calling the finale such a close contest. Based on charisma, singing range, entertainment value, looks, keeping my interest, and Adam runs circles around Chris and is in another league entirely. I have no idea how Chris beat Matt, Allison Lil, Anoop, and Danny but he did and so he MUST suffer the consequences and go against Adam in the finals. It should be a one-sided victory with Adam as the winner but http://www.dialidol.com predicted CHRIS as the winner with less than a 2% difference in the voting. I’m scared now but I have faith that Adam will win!!!
