It looks like thanks to Vote for the Worst (dot com), Scott MacIntyre may be hanging on for a few more weeks! I think I speak for people who dislike feathered hair and contemporary soft rock everywhere when I say, “Ack!”
According to DialIdol.com, it’s looking like we may be in for a shocker this week, as they are tallying that Kris Allen has the least amount of votes. Seriously? The guy has consistently been good, charming, and had good song choices from the beginning. I knew my personal fav, Anoop, was never going to make it, but I was kind of hoping that Danny and Adam would wear thin on people after awhile and Kris would manage to sneak in and take it for the win.
So, what’s the story? Someone has one bad week and gets thrown under the bus? While other contestants are consistently bad (Scott) or just coasting along (Danny, Lil), and someone else has one bad week and might just have to say goodbye. Hopefully, if this is the case, and Kris is the one to go, the judges will use their save. He’s a good performer, somewhat original, and amusing to me because he’s shorter than Ryan. I will even accept that it may mean sending both Scott and Anoop home next week. But anyone going home before Scott at this point is just plain wrong. Yes, I know. He’s blind, and he’s probably a really nice guy. But that doesn’t mean I want to hear him sing ever again!
Here’s DialIdol’s list of contestants, from most votes to least. They have a certain margin of error, so Anoop or Scott (hopefully!) may actually get the axe, but they’ve been right the past few weeks!
- Adam Lambert
- Danny Gokey
- Allison Iraheta
- Lil Rounds
- Matt Giraud
- Scott MacIntyre
- Anoop Desai
- Kris Allen

He is NOT going home. I figure he’ll go home next week. Scott MacIntyre sucks so bad. I think the only reason he is still even in the competition is because people feel sorry for him, you can not tell me people think he is THAT good? Maybe the deaf are voting for him…
He has been a huge inspiration to everyone and I think it is great that he was on, but it’s time for him to go.
