It’s the last night of Hollywood Week, and the contestants are singing solo with a backup band and are allowed to play instruments if they choose. The hopefuls have been split up into four groups, with certain groups going home.
Adam Lambert is up first and he’s singing “Believe” by Cher, but “not the disco version,” as he said.
Matt Giraud is next and has his keyboard to accompany him to “Georgia on my Mind”.
Jamar Rogers, Danny Gokey’s BFF, sings “Hey There Delilah”, and for the first time, I didn’t hate that song!
Danny is next, singing “I Hope You Dance”. The first four performances were relatively train-wreck free, which can only mean there will be trouble after the break!

Anoop Desai is our first guy up after the break, singing “My Perogative”, Jorge Nunez sings “Closer”, and Scott MacIntire on his piano sings “Going Home” by another Idol hopeful, Chris Daughtry. They all wow the judges.
Kendall Beard sings “Before He Cheats”, Stevie Wright sings “Bubbly”, and Lil Rounds sings “If I Ain’t Got You” to the judges’ delight. We get a couple more female performances: Kristin McNamara and Mishavonna Henson. Of this group, Stevie, Lil, and Mishavonna were pretty good, and the others were okay.

We’re welcomed from the break by a Tatiana montage. Ick! She sings, and she’s so in her own little world. Alexis Grace, Kenny Hoffpauer, and Jasmine Murray sing next. Nathaniel Marshall sings a cool acoustic version of “Disturbia”, which I didn’t hate. Joanna Pacitti, the girl everyone hates because she’s already had her shot at fame, forgot the words to her song. So did Casey Carlson, and Steven Fowler. The three word-forgetters wind up in the same room. Tatiana’s in that room too, but judges pull her out. Guess we’ll find out why after another break!

Nick Mitchell, aka Norman Gentle is having an identity crisis. He can’t decide which person to be for his performance. Thankfully for me, he was Norman! I love Norman.
Ann Murray Boskovich is in Nick/Norman’s group room, which means if Nick makes it through, Ann Murray does, too. Ju’not Joyner, someone we haven’t really heard about, finally gets some face time. He’s kind of John Legend-esque.
The judges decided that Tatiana will join Room 4, which sets the contestants in the room ill at ease.

Fifteen minutes left in the show, and we’re soon to find out who will stick around. Kaylan Loyd and Leneshe Young were early favorites, but have the judges changed their minds?
Kai Kalama is in Room 2, and his voice is strained. Michael Sarver sings an okay version of “Nothing at All”.
Decision time for Room 2: They are going through! Von, Kai, Nathaniel, Casey, and Alexis were among the people in that group.
Room 3: Get sent home. Michael Castro, Leneshe, and Kaylan are in that group.

Final break is over, and we’re soon to see if Room 1 or Room 4 is the final group to stay. Room 1 is about to find out…that they’re staying! Danney Gokey, Anoop, Adam Lambert, Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntire, Jamar Rogers, Jorge nunez, and Jackie Tohn are in this group.
Room 4 is about to find out they’re going home…or are they? They’re going through! More Tatiana, more Ann Marie, and more NORMAN GENTLE!!! Hooray!
Tomorrow we find out who the Final 36 are, so we get 2 hours of performances at the Judges’ Mansion.

Sorry not to be stiff, as entertaining as Norman can be I want him gone! Yes gone. I love laughs and entertainment but honestly people where is his heart in all of this? I guess we need him for TV ratings. And my God I want Tatiana gone, gone, gone times 10! That is my prayer tonight. Maybe God will answer that one.

Hey there, I meant to comment on that one post where you stuck up for me…thanks! I’m not a homophobe at all, just allergic to bad singing! Glad you picked up on that.
As far as Norman goes, I like him because he breaks the monotony. I am so sick off the same thing over and over again! It’s like, oh wow, a black girl that sings Whitney Houston songs. How original. A blond girl that sings country. How unique. An “edgy” guy with eyeliner that sings like he’s on the toilet. Wow, THAT’s never been done before! :p Hopefully you get what I mean; they seriously need some hopefuls that will break the mold and give us a breath of fresh air!

Wow you are really in love with this guy! haha. You are really into him. Aren’t you? LOL!
I get what you’re saying. I feel you. I really do. I just think someone like Anoop can do that with his own original style and voice opposed to a joke of a wannabe star, Norman. You’ll see what I posted.
PS. I will stick up for you and the truth as I see it anytime!

I love Nick Mitchell/Normund Gentle. As Nick, he is handsome. As Normund, a riot.
I’d love for him to come on stage as Nick and then make it seem like Normund has to break out and finish the song as Normund.
He can sing and needs to be sure that shows, too. But I agree with the cookie cutter boredom. We have our Whitney, Garth, and such. Does anyone has his own new voice?
Please, entertain us!
