American Idol Season 8 Expectations
Another season of American Idol is just hours away. The 8th installment of the powerhouse Fox Reality TV show that seems to encompass many of our lives.
With the 8th season and American Idol 2009 we can expect some changes. According to producers we will be seeing more Talent and less rejects. It will take more than just a funny costume to make in on the American Idol TV Show this year.
Some of us die hard Idol fans do enjoy the rejects, but this is a talent contest after all and actually seeing the talent from the beginning will be a welcome change in the Idol format.
This year we will see more of the Hollywood rounds as well an the addition of 36 finalist instead of 24. Idol producers added a wild card round so that some talent may not slip through the cracks. We will have to wait and see how that all plays out and if that will effect the end game of Idol. I assume it won’t, unless the “Vote for the Worse” crowd can establish enough voting power to keep a less than admirable idol contender on for more weeks then then should be. Hence a rebirth of the Sanjaya Malakar season.
Either way, the addition of more estrogen by the way of Judge Kara DioGuardi should prove to make the judging a little more interesting, intense and invigorating.
