American Idol David Archuleta VS David Cook

American Idol Comes down to David Archuleta Vs David Cook on the Performance Final on Tuesday May 20, 2008. David A has been the proverbial fan favorite since the audition segments, but David Cook came on strong around just before the cut to the Final 12.

Let’s look back at the possible highlights and low light of the Final 2 Season 7 American Idols.

David Cook Season 7 Highlights and Lowlights:

David Cook introduced us to his musical arrangement style with the Lionel Richie Song “Hello” on the 3-4-08 Top 16 performance week. Prior to this breakout performance Idol judges were not to keen with David Cook.

He followed up the next week with an impressive arrangement of Beatles Eleanor Rigby on the 3-11-08 Top 12 week.

On March 28, 2008 American Idol performance show David C sang the Micheal Jackson song, Billy Jean. Once again the judges applauded David C for his performance and arrangements. Watch David C Billy Jean Video

David Cook drew critical acclaim for his versions and arrangements of these two classic by the Idol Judges and Fans alike. David Cook acknowledged the arrangements and cover versions and has been on a roll with his performances. His increasing number of fans leading into the Final on 5-20-08 gives him a chance to claim the American Idol title on 5-21-08.

David Archuleta Highlights and Lowlights:

Since the opening American Idol auditions, David Archuleta was touted as the one to beat. It is no surprise that David A has reached the American Idol finals and is the odds on favorite to win based on a extremely large teenage girl fan base.

Our attention was drawn to David Archuleta with his audition song Image, and continued strong week by week. He had one off week where the pressure overcame him and he even forgot the words to the song We can Work It Out Song from The Beatles Week. We even accused David A of flubbing on purpose and taking a Dive Then there was the week Judge Simon Cowell called out David A on his song choice making accusation about Jeff Archuleta the Stage Father from hell.

Regardless David Archuleta has been consistent week in and week out, and has received the Judges Highest Compliments throughout the American Idol Season.

The Two Davids will battle it out on stage on 5-20-08 with their final singing performances, and the winner of American Idol Season 7 will be announced on Wednesday May 21, 2008 ( 5-21-08) as one more will be voted off American Idol and one will be crowned the winner!
