Stay tuned and keep refreshing the page as we will update the highlights as they happen!

Jason Castro is first and is singing “Forever in Blue Jeans” No judging until after the second song, but it sounded pretty much like all of Jason’s other songs.

David Cook is next and his first song is “I’m Alive”. Nothing too shocking this week from him!

Brooke White is third and is singing “I’m a Believer.” She played the guitar and had the crowd engaged.

Note: So far, this feels really rushed! I wonder how the judges are going to handle this?

David Archuleta is fourth and is singing “Sweet Caroline.” Not his best performance, but then again, everything is so hurried!

Syesha Mercado is last but not least. Her first song is “Hello Again.”

Randy gave great reviews to Davids A and C, said Jason wasn’t that great, Brooke was better than last week, and Syesha was great but it wasn’t her best.

Paula is so out of it she thought David C sang twice.

Simon more or less said everyone was terrible. Choice adjectives were “amateurish, forgettable, and old-fashioned.”

Second Round!!

Jason Castro–singing “September Morn”. Randy said it was just okay, Paula said it was safe and he needed to get outside his comfort zone, Simon said he was “forgettable”

David Cook again, singing “All I Really Need is You”. Randy: “You rocked the house…blazing!” Paula said she’s already looking at the American Idol. Simon thought the first song was okay, but the second song was brilliant. He changed the arrangement and made it modern.

Brooke White, singing “I am…I said”. Randy said nice job, Paula said she connected with the audience, Simon said he hated the first song, but this was the Brooke we like.

David Archuleta is next…he’s singing “America”. Randy said he was “in the zone,” Paula said it was the perfect song for him, and Simon said that was a clever song choice.

Syesha Mercado, last but not least again, is singing “Thank the Lord for the Night Time”.  Randy:  “In the zone” again, Paula: “jibberish,” and Simon: “this is the strangest show we’ve ever done, you’re a very good actress/singer, but you may be in trouble tonight.”

Overall, this show belongs to David and David.  I’m pretty sure the others are going to be let go one by one over the coming weeks.  Your thoughts?

wow. I sure do agree. It will be the battle of the Davids. Syesha will be going home this week I think. Then Brooke or Jason. I am not a huge fan of Brooke but she maybe in 3rd place in this whole deal. She has a huge fan base out here in AZ.

PS. Love the site. It keeps me in the know! Keep it rollin’!

The biggest gaff of the Night was Paula Abdul reading her notes from the earlier Auditions and commenting on the 2nd Round of Songs after only the first round.

Luckily Randy Caught it after some 20 seconds and stopped Paula from making a bigger fool of herself.

Paula, they only sang one round - so read your notes for the ONE song not Both. Makes you think she is not even truly there or spaced out on some major drugs.
